terrific 2 night stay!
This hotel was in the heart of the "old city"...on every corner was a different temple to look at!...It was decorated very nicely in the lanna style...great amenities...pool...rain shower...although shower water ran a bit on the cool side!!>>>Wonderful helpful staff & delicious breakfast with a wide variety of foods...would surely return to this place!

Long walk from hotel
Be sure to walk down to the Night bazaar...just east of the east gate...many local items & food for sale...you can also take a tuk tuk ride there for a small fare>>>If there on a Sunday be sure to walk down the Sunday walking street which is one street to the south...they have a large variety of handmade items & live entertainment!

Really special- simple and elegant
Actually I was plesantly surprised. The rate was really good so as an expat living in Asia I expected much less for the money. It was fair to classify this as a 4star hotel, although the breakfast wasn't that great the staff and amenities made up for it. Wireless internet worked well, the pool was nice & it was very quiet. So simple yet nice and elegant. The location was good enough. We were focused on staying in the center within the walls so didn't care too much how far away from things we were. To Tuk, tuk around it was less than $2 USD so we were able to use that to come back. I would definitely go back and stay at this place again.

I would do a bit of research and not rely solely on the tourist person at the hotel to plan for everything. We were not happy with the tour option to visit a village and then Doi Suthep temple... I suggest if you are two to just hire a car to go there as the village is nothing but a tour of tables selling the same touristy stuff you can find in any of the night markets.

Five of us from Australia stayed
Five of us from Australia stayed in this hotel in May 2010 for nine days and could not fault the service or the hospitality of this hotel. It is situated in the old city and is close to markets etc. Not a big resort but new, quiet and comfortable. Red trucks (buses) take you where you want to go for around 20 baht per person. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were always eager to please and smiles that made our day. After a busy day shopping or sightseeing we could relax by the pool. The internet service was free and quick, unlike some places we stayed. Highly recommend this place and will stay again ourselves.

ok location in old town Chiang Mai. However, will need to take tuk tuk for night market, late nite food, and all action. 1 of 2 computers in the lobby was down. Spotty wifi. Breakfast buffet was good. Preferred to spend more time in Chiang Mai then Bangkok.
