Luxury Bangkok hotel with four restaurants, two bars and swimming pools
On the banks of the Chao Phraya, the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers embodies an escape from urban stresses. Peacocks roam the garden area surrounding one of two outdoor pools, while comfortable beds carry guests to easy slumber. The four restaurants and two bars provide ample dining choices. Bangkok-Royal Orchid Sheraton
First rate service. Booked tours with the Travel Service located in the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff provided private tour guides and drivers for four tours. Room was of good size and clean. Only one of the three resturants were open in the hotel due to remodeling. Although the food was good, the selection was limited.

Pretty good place to stay in Bangkok
The hotel was nice. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. It's not cheap at all, but if you are willing to spend a few extra bucks for comfort and good service this is the hotel for you.

Short drive from hotel
Guys watch out for those Taxi drivers out front, they will take you to the most expensive places for shopping, and you will end up spending more money than you want. They get free gas coupons for every shopper they bring in.

Overall the amenities were excellent including meals and range of food. Check in was slow and another staff member looked after us personally, checked us in and took us to our room. Staff were welcoming and very efficient. As the hotel was on the riverside we used the ferries to visit various tourist attractions.

Good views, attentive service
The hotel runs a river taxi to the nearest BTS station, making it easy to get around via public transit. It's also an easy walk to Chinatown. Only downsides: renovation on the hotel disturbed the peace during daylight hours, and the dirty windows interfered with the otherwise-excellent view of the river. Oh, the the cost of internet access. Why do expensive hotels charge for a basic amenity that budget hotels include in the price of the room?
