Putting guests in the middle of the city's best nightlife and within close walking distance of public transport stations, Grand President Bangkok offers comfortable accommodations in a central location along Sukhumvit Soi 11. The Grand President Bangkok comprises three towers, housing studios and suites, as well as three swimming pools, a spa and a handful of in-house dining venues. Rates are quite reasonable for guests who seek a central place to stay in Bangkok.

Rooms

The setup at Grand President Bangkok is made up of serviced apartments housed within three towers facing one another on Soi 11. Modestly-sized studios and larger suites include kitchenettes, for which hot plates are provided upon request. More recently renovated rooms have marble floors, while all rooms feature satellite TV, wired Internet access (fees apply), air conditioning, microwave oven, refrigerator, and strategically-placed mirrors to create a more spacious feel. Deluxe suites include LCD TV, while deluxe and family suites also feature private washer/dryer units.

Property features

Grand President Bangkok features three swimming pools of varying sizes, with large patios, steam rooms and saunas. A small fitness center adequately serves hotel guests. Guests can also treat themselves to Ananda Spa, located at a neighboring sister property. This full-service spa offers hair treatments to massages and pedicures in fifteen peaceful treatment rooms. Within the Grand President Bangkok itself, dining venues cover Japanese to German, with a cafe serving an appetizing breakfast buffet as well as Thai and international foods throughout the day and evening. Terrible

First, reception could not find my reservation, despite my giving them Orbtiz's printed confirmation including the hotel's confirmation number. Three people worked on the problem, unsuccessfully. They wanted me to sign a registration for another person with the same last name. I refused, of course. Finally, after probably a half hour they assigned me a room in the annex across the street in an old building, hardly the same quality as the main, newer hotel towers. They referred to the annex as a "tower," although at 7 storeys, it hardly qualified. Room was very marginal, no loiletries, one hand towel for a double room. Hotel very noisy, with telephone, tv noise from the adjoining room. Would never stay there again.

excellent!

there for a few days at start of honeymoon..easy access to motorway for airport (although always busy that road!)..service was spot on..good location for skytrain and subway for getting around city although plenty to do on the doorstep..street was busy but safe..only issue was the constant touting for taxis and tuk tuks when leaving the hotel..breakfast was well worth it and rooftop pool on tower three was perfect for relaxing and cooling off..modern decor in room and kitchenette proved a useful feature

Don't bother. Find Another Place

I was in Bangkok for 13 nights. This is my 6th trip to Bangkok. First night I said at Citidines on Soi 11 (awesome hotel, highly recommend it). The rest of the nights I said at Grand President Tower 3. I have multiple issues with Grand President: 1.) When I booked online, I booked for 2 queens/1 king. When I checked in they didn't have any of those available, so I got two twins pushed together to make a queen. It was tolerable but not what I booked. 2.) Booking said Complimentary Wifi. Wasn't complimentary, wanted a obscene amount. 3.) Noise from 8am- 7pm from renovation from floor above. Note in room said 9am-5pm, this was not the case. Getting woken up early when going staying out late(4am) is not enjoyable. 4.) Make sure you put your Do not Disturb sign on every night. House keepers are loud and will wake you at 8am saying something in Thai, then opening the door. You can hear them all the way down the hall. Never have this issue with other hotels. You put the clean sign on when you want it cleaned and the housekeepers are a lot quieter. 5.) Upon check out had 2 charges that I didn't use. A:) a phone call that was made by the people fixing the safe. (which was removed after questioning it) B:) Charge from house keeping for something taken from the snack bar. Told them I didn't take anything, but it wasn't worth auguring over $1. Bottom line I won't ever stay at this hotel again or recommend any friends stay there. Staff is friendly, pool is good, exercise room looked above average. Too many promises not included and too much 'nickel and dimeing'.
