Overally the hotel is very nice

Overally the hotel is very nice and stylish, but additional services and mini-bar are quite expensive for Thailand. The hotel is clean, but in my case (staying in a smoking room) the carpet had some grime from sigarettes. A bed and pillows are great - very comfortable.

We were there for 2 nights , overall

We were there for 2 nights , overall it was a pleasant stay. Staff were friendly, speaks well and the facilites were top rate, especially the spa and gym. This is quite a typical business hotel, you will not get the 'home' feeling of a studio apartment type or a boutique hotel that are available at much lower cost and with more space eg: kitchen and sofa set. So it really depends on what you like for a holiday. I've travelled for both business and leisure reasons, Bangkok is a chilled out place for me, so i would go back to a studio or boutique so that I wont be reminded of work.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

the best dining places - ask the front desk person, the concierge, the driver of the hotel limo. The hotel car driver - Joe - brought us to Cosmo Thai, a live seafood restaurant. My wife and I agreed it was the best meal we had in Bangkok.

An understated star

A great building fitted out lavishly with plenty of references to traditional Thai art ingeniously fashioned in luxurious contemporary materials. Tremendous staff who try to make your visit special and all the facilities you'd expect of a well polished 5 star property. One to go back to that feels like home. Club lounge, despite the excellent staff and great evening catering, is underlit and can be slightly dismal in the evening.

wonderful place to stay

extremely polite and helpfull staff. Very clean and comfortable bathroom and very crisp and clean beddings. Go for the executive floors and enjoy the hospitality of executive lounge. Located on clean areas of Sukhumvit, no bars and clubs on the approach. Carpets are dull and no longer fresh. No amount of maintenance and cleaning can eradicate a mild humid smell in the corridors and all other places. The bar is devoid of any character; it is so expensive that next time I would prefer getting robbed in the street rather than buying another drink.

Nice hotel

This was a nice hotel in a very good spot. It seem like there was quite a bit to do. The room was very nice and clean. The staff was nice but I don't think that they would have bent over backwards as at some of the other hotels we stayed in. We only had three issues with this hotel: 1. Wifi wasn't free which was a disappointment for a self claimed 5 star hotel. 2. The business center closed early, we arrived at the hotel at around 6 pm but the front desk was able to help me with the flight check in. 3. The final issue was the restaurants, they didn't seem like they had very convenient hours and we ended up going from one to the other because nobody really knew much.

good

not bad. it's pretty far from city center, and all the tourist attractions, but theres the subway line right next to the hotel. I never took the subway line, so I can't say if its convenient or not, but the taxi drivers don't speak english. the concierge at this hotel was extremely helpful. Just bring a dictionary, they don't always understand what you're saying. apart from that, the hotel was clean and a deal for its price.

Impressive hotel

We were in Bangkok for a baby-moon and this hotel has been extremely accommodating to our requests! We arrived at the hotel at 12 noon and only expected to be able to leave our luggage before heading for lunch. They allowed a check-in prior without us asking if any rooms were available and gave us a late check-out as they had enough rooms. Hotel staff offered help enthusiastically at all times and were well-versed in English. The room was big and comfy. The only negative side to this hotel would be the alley of pubs en route the walk towards the BTS, which may be quite noisy and sleazy for families with children.
