We were there for 2 nights , overall
We were there for 2 nights , overall it was a pleasant stay. Staff were friendly, speaks well and the facilites were top rate, especially the spa and gym. This is quite a typical business hotel, you will not get the 'home' feeling of a studio apartment type or a boutique hotel that are available at much lower cost and with more space eg: kitchen and sofa set. So it really depends on what you like for a holiday. I've travelled for both business and leisure reasons, Bangkok is a chilled out place for me, so i would go back to a studio or boutique so that I wont be reminded of work.

good
not bad. it's pretty far from city center, and all the tourist attractions, but theres the subway line right next to the hotel. I never took the subway line, so I can't say if its convenient or not, but the taxi drivers don't speak english. the concierge at this hotel was extremely helpful. Just bring a dictionary, they don't always understand what you're saying. apart from that, the hotel was clean and a deal for its price.

This is a lovely hotel, we got
This is a lovely hotel, we got a great offer and stayed in an executive room that included express check-in and full use of the executive lounge which enables you to help yourself to free delicious snacks and beverages including cocktails. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The glass sided bathroom is novel and fine for couples but not sure it would suit everyone, especially if you had teenage children sharing your room. Breakfast in the main dining room was fabulous, choice endless and one of the best I have had. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and I will defiantly stay here again on my next visit. The sky train is a 2 minute walk away so very convenient for getting around.

Great hotel
The hotel is conveniently located near the skytrain and subway stations (only a few min walk). The room was very clean and modern. Outdoor swimming pool was small. Got a package at the hotel for breakfast buffet, wifi, executive club access, free local calls and late check out for 1500Bahts/day +tax. The buffet had a great selection of western and Asian food with fresh squeezed juice. Wifi signal was not very strong, I had to stand near my room door to use skype.

Always agree on fare before getting into a taxi, because drivers always don't want to use meter. Prepare to pay more at Grand palace. They don't understand much English, it's best to have destination written in Thai. Take skytrain or subway whenever you can. Traffic jam in downtown is incredible.

Sumptuous digs
People just waiting to please us from our first step into their doors. From the bellhop to the concierge to the front desk, if you have a want or a problem, everyone was willing to help. We booked a trip outside Bangkok with the hotel. The experience was wonderful, only we had a limo to ourselves. This can be very important in returning to the hotel after a trip as traffic is unimaginable. If you can take the MRT or Skyway, do! Both are avaiable just a block or 2 away. Not much to do right by the hotel except the SoiCowboy (bargirls and single guys). We ate at the hotel a couple of times and took public transportation to get the other restaurants and attractions.

If you like to cook, check out the Baipai cooking school. We had a enjoyable half day learning to cook 4 dishes and ate what we cooked. Everyone had success and we were given a small cookbook. Some students stayed for more classes.
