This was my swond stay at Reviera Hotel. I chose the hotel as it was just across the road from the Interntional Flora Expo.The staff is very helpful and I found the location quite convenient to food outlets. Taxis are easily available to any where in Taipei. Yes it is ahotel I would recommedn to vistors to Taipei.

Was a nice quiet hotel. I have no complaints, would stay there again. Is quite close to some of the sites..the Confucius Temple, Bao An Temple, Lin An Tai Home Stead, Tea Story House, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Longshan Temple. The Yuanshan MRT is about a 7-10 minute walk from the station and there is also an all English bookstore close by. The Shilin Night Market is one or two stops away (depending on where you start and end) and Taipei Main Station is about 4 stops. Location-wise, it's good. Staff are helpful. I'd stay there again.

Great service
The Riviera has 5star service. They would rank at the top of all hotels we have stayed at for service and friendliness. Very warm greeting when we checked in with free coffee and tea. We took a cab everywhere we went and they always took the time to write in mandarin where we were going and make sure we had a card of hotel so we could tell taxi where we we wanted to go on our return. The breakfast was a nice touch.

The Reviera is located in an area
The Reviera is located in an area easily accessible to shops and eateries. Taxis are easily available to go to any destination. From November 2010 till June 2011 the International Floral Exhibition will be held in a park just opposite the Reviera Hotel so it would be very convenient for anyone interested in attending the Floral Exhibition. The Hotel is about 50 mionutes from the Airport. I would highly recommend this hotel to visitors to Taipei.

This was my 2nd time with Riveria
This was my 2nd time with Riveria and was really disappointing. It's supposed to be a non smoking floor and when we went into the room, it was full of smoke smell, even the towel does have the smell. At the same time, we have asked the Service Staff to help us make a reservation at a restaurant, the staff agreed readily. But when we reached the restaurant, no reservation was made, how embarrassing can it be. Hope the hotel can improve on its service.

Charming and Friendly
This was a wonderful hotel. The service was outstanding and the food delicious. Unfortunately, I was only there for one night so I did not have much time to explore. The pictures on the website make the rooms look dataed, but that is not the case

Great hotel for comfort, service,value
We thoroughly enjoyed our five night stay at the Rivera. Staff was very helpful, offering advice, booking tours, and giving directions. Our room was a very good size and had all the comforts and conveniences we could have wanted--quiet, comfortable bed, good sized bath with nice toiletries and lighted mirror, flat screen tv with HBO,cinemax and CNN, security safe, 110 outlets throughout the room and free internet access. The hotel also had a lovely executive garden on the 7th floor, with couches, chairs, and a computer to use. There was a fitness center and track on the roof level and a lounge on the first floor with another computer. The breakfast buffet was included with our room rate and it was a good one. The hotel offers a free one-way shuttle to Taipei 101 on weekends; getting back was easy with the MRT system as the Yongshan station was about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is also a few blocks from the airport bus dropoff; we took the airport bus to the hotel ($3 US per person and took a cab back to the airport at the end of the trip $40US). We took a city tour and independently visited the wonderful National Palace Museum and other sites as well as the Beitou hot springs and the Shinlin night market (one MRT stop from the Yongshan). The hotel staff was absolutely wonderful, really enhancing the quality of our trip. I highly recommend this hotel

Take the MRT to the Taipei Handicrafts Center for souvenir shopping; most of the night markets are primarily for food and clothes/shoes so not a lot of places to get Taiwanese items

The staff were very courteous
The staff were very courteous and helpful. Te rooms were very comfortable and spacious. I would stay there again and highly recommend the Rievera to anyone considering visiting Taipei.

OK but...
The hotel is ok. Most employees speak english. The situation of the hotel is ok. For the price the rooms could be more comfortable. Yet, everything needed is there: minibar, big bed, free water etc.
