My Personal trip to Taipei
This hotel has a great location in Taipei. Guest room comfort level and hotel dinning avilability is above par. Staff are geart and well trainned. Bath room is not as modern. Renovation is needed. Only one thing I do not like at this hotel is the music at the lobby buffet area is way too loud. I can hear it even from my room at the 9th floor. They played the music till 10pm. For people had jet lag like me, that is not acceptable.

Location great. Breakfast is only good for the value. Rather eat out. Staff generally quite courteous except those on the Executive Club. Staff on the executive floor club were not friendly and informative. Wrong info were given to us on where we could have our breakfast.

Howard Plaza Taipei
I like this hotel, great location and in a great spot in Taipei but close enough to the airport and industrial parks...half way between them. Restaurants on site are pretty good and others are close by. You don't feel stranded at this hotel. Only issue is you have to pay extra for the internet...all hotels should have free high speed wireless in my opinion.

In Hotel
Two Chinese Restaurants in Hotel were excellent. Breakfast also excellent. Other restaurants in hotel, (French and Japanese) but didn't try them. Difficult to book this hotel direct as they only release 2 rooms per day on their website.

Nice Hotel, Very Friendly Staff
The staff was very friendly and allowed me to check it at 7am after an early flight with my daughter. Bathroom was outdated and could have used some re-modeling. Bed was fairly hard (and I typically like a firm mattress). Close to the MRT. It's not a bad hotel, but I have stayed at better ones in Taipei.

Appauling 5 star hotel. Dirty, smelly.
For a 5 star hotel this has to be the worst place I have ever visited. I am a frequent hotel user around the world and for this to earn 5 star is amazing. I would give it 3 at most. The building is old and grotty. The rooms smell like smoke (I changed rooms twice). The toilets emit a sulfur smell that fills the room. It is over priced. The staff are friendly and helpful but that does not make up for the rotten rooms and hotel. I would not stay here or recommend it to anyone. Pay the extra $10 and go for something decent. PS: Watch the internet charges they double the rate if you use WIFI but it does not specify that of course. Cheap tricks. 0/10 - bad bad bad.

a very clean, convenient and well-placed hotel. It is also on the airport limousine bus route, which makes airport transfers both cheap and efficient. I have stated many times and will definitely stay again.
