Outstanding First time visiting Taipei, chose this hotel based on Taiwan tourism board book the friendly people at Taiwan tourism office in NY fedexed to me overnight before I left. The neighborhood is charming, staff is top notch, room was really great. The whole operation is simple, clean, quiet, unassuming, peaceful and charming. The breakfast was a home run. In terms of value- I chose tis hotel over the others on my shortlist because they had better rates-I hope they continue to keep their rates lower than similar hotels.

Short walk from hotel
WA PIZZA Incredible value. Im a pizza afficionado and was taken by their oven when I saw from the street. I'd work with them on getting the sauce dialed in and make some adjustments but its an incredible value and some smart pies, really cool cats working there. charming spot. I did take out to eat in the hotel, nice craftsmanship on the brown twine holding my two boxes together, and appreciated the pepper flakes and grated cheese in the dimebag ziplocks.

Les Suites Taipei Da An is great
Les Suites Taipei Da An is great for those people who want to get out and about within the main shopping strip/Taipei 101 area. Great location, intimate yet professional accommodations and service and excellent facilities (eg. it's decked out like a lodge in the downstairs area). The only gripes we had was that for a 2 person room, we were only provided with one bathrobe and one pair of slippers and the window was tiny (hidden behind a HUGE curtain to encourage the impression that it's big).

Small boutique hotel, nice modern
Small boutique hotel, nice modern decor and good overall service. Great location--about 3 min walk to MRT, big department stores and eateries. Standard Room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower cabinet was a bit small but the bathroom had all the basic toiletries. Overall, we enjoyed our stay although the room rate was higher than most 3-4 star hotels.

A cute hotel. Truly boutique in
A cute hotel. Truly boutique in style. No swimming pool, small gym, and other facilities are rather basic. Standard rooms are all very small. Suites are of course somewhat larger. Most rooms and suites have absolutely no view. Temperature in rooms seems quite hot, regardless of the season and in spite of the fact that there are individual themostat controls in each room. Interior decor of hotel and rooms is nice. Location is extremely convenient. Breakfast served in lobbly lounge area is suprisingly genereous and quite good. Service is average to good. Cordless phones in each room double as local mobile phone. Best reason to stay is the convenient location and reasonable price.
