Good stay in Taipei
Perfect location close to Taipei 101, I stayed at Club King floor, loved the Chinese style breakfast. The room is not that new, but very comfortable except the soundproof is not good, I can hear clearly some people walk in midnight. Another problem is internet access, I needed to call support center everyday for logging in, don't know the reason.

Short walk from hotel
To the Shinko-Mitsukoshi area just takes 5 minutes from the hotel, and 3 min to Taipei101.

Beautiful Taipei
Very pleasant experience. Clean rooms and great service. The fitness center was being renovated. Temporary facility is very small and crowded. Hotel is very large. Lobby is a busy and noisy place.

The Flying Scotsman
Grand Hyatt Taipei
The Hyatt remains a good hotel. Its aging, and some of the rooms could do with refurbishment, but you can't beat the location. The bars and restaurants are also good, even if a bit expensive. Still remains my favorite hotel in Taipei ...

Eating at the hotel is easy and good, but a short walk to the 101 Foodcourt can find good food for $5 a head. There are many local places that are much cheaper than eating in the hotel.

Great Location
We stayed at the Hyatt one night on our way from Hawaii to Bali. The hotel was beautiful, centrally located right next to several shopping areas and across the street from a lovely park. Language was not a problem, everyone we encountered spoke English. The hotel buffet was very nice. The hotel had a representative at the airport to arrange transportation. The only downside was that the hotel is quite a distance from the airport (about 30 mintues) and transportation was over $50 USD each way. Would definately stay here again if in Taipei.

Across from hotel is a large store called New York, New York that has great prices on everything. If you need health/beauty items, it is a good place to pick them up.
