Close to Metro station, but needed to change Metro train to go to main train station. No major shopping Dept store near by. Room is smaller than other similar price hotel. Ok hotel for 4th choice.

Very good location, just next
Very good location, just next to MRT station. Good cantonese restaurand at ist floor. Convenient sushi stall at ground floor serves take-away sushi and rice ball wrap at very reasonable prices. A very popular pastry store is also located at ground floor. Room is clean and spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are many restaurants nearby. The small Liaoning night market is a few minutes walk, though variety of food is limited. One can take Evergreen Bus from Taoyuan Airport to the hotel which is less than 10 mins. walk to the bus stop.

Staff members have been very helpful
Staff members have been very helpful and attentive, best hotel stay experience so far. Excellent location in Central Taipei next to MRT station, and there are many taxis waiting at door step. Overall, this is a 4 star hotel in facility, 6 star in service!

Brother Hotel, Taipei
I chose this hotel because of its location and price. The hotel is located right off the MRT station (Nanjing East Road, Brown Line). Bus stop for the airport bus (Evergreen, 140 NTD) is within a 3 minute walk. The rooms are a little small but the great location and friendly service makes up for it. Caution: If you are more than 6 feet tall, you will find the rooms too small, and the ceiling in the bathroom too low. [...]

Disappointing
Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights for part business and part tourism. The location is good, centrally located and within steps of the MRT station. Plenty of restaurant choices within the hotel. Breakfast is not included, but there are numerous coffee shops and restaurants within a few blocks in each direction. In no way should this hotel be classified as 4-star. Solid 3-star yes. The large lobby and restaurants do not make up for the relatively small rooms. While clean they were not as spotless as I have come to expect from Asian hotels. Staff was friendly and efficient, but every morning at 7:30 am I was awoken by very loud - practically shouting - voices which continued for hours. I first thought these may be guests but believe in fact they were hotel housekeeping staff going about their duties. Later in the morning the whole hotel was subject to hours of repeated pounding noises caused by the MRT construction going on next door. At lobby level the hotel actually vibrated from the digging. The poorly soundproofed rooms plus the loud external hallway noises and construction made for an unsatisfactory experience. I do not plan to stay here again on future visits to Taipei.

Room Type Crucial
I stayed in this hotel twice within a week, first in the standard room, and then in the larger superior double room. The standard room was Tokyo-esque in its smallness. A tiny room, a small rock hard bed, a mini, capsule window, and barely any space to move. Luckily, I arrived late so all I did was sleep. On the other hand, later that week I stayed in a superior room, which was larger and had a nice window. This room seemed like a decent value for Taipei. [...] it was pretty chilly (end Oct/early Nov), but the hotel did not turn the central heat on. But the maid was nice enough to provide me with a small heater for the room. As for location, the hotel is in a good area, quite central. While not in a tourist zone, I was satisfied with the location next to the subway and so on. There are convenience stores and a bakery virtually right below. Overall, there were some quirks, but I would say good value for the money for the superior room. But no chance I would book a standard room again.

Nice, convenient, courteous service
Access to the MRT system in Taipei is key for my enjoymjent and Brother Hotel could not be in a better spot. I traveled all over in a matter of minutes and never felt lost because any MRT station could point me "home". The staff was exceptionall coureous and efficient, the amenities were fine, the room was fairly spacious and clean. I'd definitely consider this hotel for my next trip to Taipei.
