Very nice hotel. Clean, comfortable room. Staff was incredibly helpful and courteous. A little away from any "American-style" food, but location was still good. Would definately have no issues with staying there again for business or pleasure.
The Embassador has been a fixture in downtown Taipei for many decades. I used to hear about it from my father, who stayed there often during his days as a traveling business man.
It still is top notch. The service was excellent. I made several
special requests about monetary exchanges and travel plans. The staff accommodated all of them!
The room was clean, comfortable.
The breakfast was authentic Taiwanese.
The location was exceptionally convenient. It's located in the heart of the northern part of Taipie, right on the main avenue. A subway station is located half a block away.
I was extremely pleased with the location of this hotel, there is a lot of fun street activity going on in this neighborhood-- lots of coffee places, boutiques, high end label stores, foot massage, street vendors, banks, atms, etc.. The
public spaces in the hotel are large and modern and upscale. The lobby bar is very cool and a relaxing and stylish place for a drink and a snack. The 4th floor rooms open onto a rooftop terrace with pool and hot tub, and each room has private patio/porch type of setup. (however pool is closed beginning October). Rooms have great internet access, nice bar/coffee setup, medium sized room but very nicely furnished. Bathrooms have great FLUSH to the toilets!
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
High end label stores, plus cool small independent boutiques with good prices.
