Holiday Inn Express TAICHUNG PARK

Really good place to stay for the money: clean, modern, fresh, well-facilitated. Beds are SOFT. Breakfast is not outstanding but acceptable. It is close to the train station but quite a bit from town centre. Would recommend to friends and stay there again if visiting the same town again.

This hotel is located next to Taichung Park, its convenient for those who travel by HSR from other parts of Taiwan, there is a free shuttle bus that will bring you from HSR station to Taichung Park, you only need to cross the street to the hotel. The hotel is clean and the facilities are adequate for tourist, staff are polite and helpful. If anyone going to Taichung this hotel should be a good choice and value for money

It will be ideal if there is a fridge which guests can use as well.

Newish hotel, clean and well priced. Not a thing to fault with this modern hotel.

Holiday Inn Express certainly exceed our expectation. The location is perfect, just about 5 shops from Nantou bus station/stop that departing to many places, Sun Moon Lake, FACV, Cing Jing Farm, Lushan Hotsprings, Awanta, THSR, etc, and just 10 mins walk to Railway Station where along the way, there are many other bus companies' stations/departing points to Fong Jia night market, Jia Ming 1st (shopping) street, etc. Breakfast is good with varieties and delicious food but I think tables/chairs are not enough during peak morning hours. Room is spacious and facilities are sufficient; even have soft and harder pillows to suite you with soft bed. They even have 240V electrical point for those whom came from Commonwealth countries though Taiwan is using 110V. Bathroom facilities are good and clean. Safety box is available. Lobby has 3 desktops for internet surfing. The room also has Wifi and LAN cable readiness ! You can store luggages (with tag identifying the owners) at reception area.

[...] Very clean hotel with excellent cleaning crew. Very modern decor and furniture, clean linens and speedy internet access. Some of the front desk staff could use a little more customer service training. The hotel does not offer bellhops or curbside attendants as other hotels in Taichung do. The location is on a main street, but not as centrally located to sites of interest and shopping districts. Complimentary breakfast was good as was the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Overall a good experience minus the prepayment misunderstanding which I'm sure they will address with their staff.

Hotel is very new, clean and modern. Self-service laundry is very helpful. Location is okay, pricing is good. However there is no fridge in the room which is a bit wired.

Wife and I had a great experience at the hotel. Very modern. Rooms were STYLISH. And the staff downstairs were absolutely AWESOME. They went way above and beyond to help us out with taxis, places to eat, etc etc. The one downside is that it is not the greatest location. There are a couple of nice parks nearby, but Taichung Park does not seem to be the most hip part of town. very easy to get to train station (not HSR) from here, but we had to cab (cheap USD $4) to get to areas with better restaurants. of course, the hotels on THAT side of town would start at USD$140+ which is double what we paid at Holiday Inn. we had a good experience overall and hard to know about the location anyway. Taichung is a relatively small town (compared to Taipei) and so not much going on there anyway.

Convenient having outlet shops in the same building. Very cozy beds. Pristine condition of room. WiFi easy. Lovely people at the reception desk.
