Located in the old downtown of Taichung City, Good Ground Hotel is just 10 minutes walking distance from the train station, nearby Chung-Shan Park, shops and restaurants.

Good to pass the night
The room had everything necessary, but was somewhat small. Me and a friend just needed a place to sleep and then get back going. For that purpose it served our needs. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower did its job. There was also a rather big flat screen TV hanging from the wall (which we didn't take advantage of). We had breakfast there, which is the typical Chinese breakfast. I liked it, but it does taste very different from typical western breakfast.

The price should not be higher than 1000nt$ for this simple hotel. I regreted this booking much more once I saw the Holiday Inn express near by at 2800nt$ for a room for 2 adults ans one child....

The hotel is conveniently located
The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre itself and very near to the Taichung Railway Station, not the High Speed Rail station.

the reception lady is very friendly
the reception lady is very friendly and helpful even offer to call taxi for us when we are leaving for high speed station and help us to carry the luggages to taxis. the aircon sound is very loud abit noisy affect sleep

Hotel is too far from the train
Hotel is too far from the train station. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is not good and we could not get a second round of coffee because the machine broke down.

Do you'r self a favour and stay
Do you'r self a favour and stay away from this so called HOTEL... More like a run down hostel with hookers out the front. Location is only good if you want a short walk to the Bus which takes you to Sun Moon Lake. Bathroom was shocking, bed was rock hard, window looking into another building and to top it off.. hookers out the front of the hotel!
