Little Known Gem in Zurich
The Palais Kraft was simply wonderful in every way: beautiful accommodations and extraordinary staff. The rooms were extremely comfortable -- larger than most hotel rooms with a desk and mini-kitchen and a marble bathroom, and even a walk-in closet. French doors opened into a private garden area complete with reclining chairs, a table, and umbrella, perfect for breakfast or a late evening snack. The Palais Kraft's location was superb -- just a few minutes north of the university in a lovely residential area and a five minute tram ride to the center of town. But what made this hotel a Palais, a true gem of a hotel, was the extraordinary staff. The host was helpful and gracious in every respect, and the other members of the staff were courteous and kept the room immaculate. This hotel is really something special, yes, something different from your usual fare. When I return to Zurich I will certainly stay at the Palais Kraft again. I highly recommend this hotel.
