Nice location but noisy at night
Hotel is at a very convenient location. A very short walk to the train station, the university and old town. The hotel staffs were friendly and the breakfasts were nice. I stayed there for 4 nights and except friday and saturday, the nights were OK. but on those days, it was very noisy. Since there was no AC in the room, I had to open the windows at night and had to bare the noise till 3 am in the morning. Btw you can get a 10% discount on drinks at the hotel bar..

Central location, not the quietist
Short walk, 4-5 blocks, from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) making it easy to reach if you take the train in from the airport. Walking distance to everything in downtown Zurich, tram lines right out front of the hotel. Hotel is narrow so that the front rooms face onto the Limmat river with a nice view and the usual city street sounds. The back rooms, like ours, face onto the Niederdorf Strasse, which is apparently the center for nightlife in Zurich. It is lined with restaurants, bars and clubs. Great if you want to partake, lousy if you are jet lagged and want to just get a full night's rest. We arrived on Saturday and that night the revelers kept going until past 4 AM. Very clean but tight rooms. Dada art motif. The bar downstairs becomes the breakfast area in the AM and serves a decent continental breakfast. Staff friendly, helpful. We arrived on an early morning flight from the US and reached the hotel before 11 AM. I expected to have to leave our bags at the front desk and check in later but the staff were happy to check us in on the spot. Given the cost of so many hotels in Zurich, this was a decent value.

Excellent value, convenient hotel
The Limmatblick is within easy walking distance from the Zurich train station. It is unusual in that there is no lobby -- just the bar, where you check in. The rooms are comfortably decorated in a modern style, with a small, clean and modern shower/toilet. They have a nice business center/room where you can purchase internet service and find maps. The included breakfast is continental, but very good. The service is also very good.
