The Matterhorn Hostel provides the perfect accommodation in winter and summer for low budget travelers. The Hostel is well located in Zermatt which is not only a picturesque village but also one of the top-ranked ski resorts in Europe. The great location gives guests great access to the mountains. The ski slopes, hiking and biking trails are only a hundred meters away. Hotels rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable. Toilets and showers are shared. Hotel also have a bar and a restaurant (closed in off season) as well as Wi-Fi and free Guest Computer. You will find a pleasant and warm atmosphere in rustic timber house (built in the 1960s). Hotel's friendly and helpful staff will try and make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is no curfew so you can explore the resort at your own pace. - The Matterhorn Hostel is located 100m from the main lift station and 200m from the center of town. The hostel is equipped with 3 washrooms, spacious showers, a common lounge area with Satellite TV & DVD player, Fridge, Kettle, and a Microwave can be used during Reception Opening Times. Located in southern Switzerland at an altitude of 1600 meters and just a few hours from the international airports of Zurich, Geneva and Milan. Zermatt is easily accessible from western, northern or southern Europe. International rail connections link up to Brig with the modern narrow-gauge Zermatt railway, which takes only 90 minutes to climb through the romantic, rugged Visp Valley. Motorists can drive as far as Tasch, from where trains (running every 20 minutes) and minibus shuttle services are available for the remaining 4.8 km to Zermatt. Parking facilities are available in Tasch and Randa for those wishing to continue by rail. Zermatt has a heliport, which is operated by Air Zermatt.
