Nice place
Nice hotel, friendly helpful staff. I might have overpaid a little, but they were really nice and the breakfast was great (great view of Matterhorn too). I sort of messed up and got to Zermatt late so I had to take a taxi and call ahead to the hotel (but they left a key out for me). So make sure to plan on getting to Zermat during the day so you can take the train to the city. Have fun!

I had problems with all the ATMs in the city failing at once...so maybe think about bringing some extra cash (just in case).

Success Overwhelming Zermatt
Typical Zermatt style chalet with lots of beautiful flowers leading up the hill to its front door. The construction of new buildings is taking place on three sides of the hotel, one of which is hotel expansion, and workers begin at 7:30 a.m. Its view of the Matterhorn and of other mountains will soon be obscured by these rising structures. This is the story of Zermatt.

Take half-board because the food is good and varied and diners can substitute different items for those stated in the five-course dinner menu. It is good value for the money.

Traumhafter Kurzurlaub
Kurzfristig anberaumter Kurzurlaub unter der Woche wurde zum tollen Erlebnis. Äusserst freundliches Personal, wunderschöner Spa-Betrieb und Lage nahe der Bahn aufs Kleine Matterhorn. Haben einen tollen Tag erwischt und das vom Hotel liebevoll vorbereitete Picknick im Schnee mit Wein, Trockenfleisch, Käseplatte Dessert etc. auf ca 3'900 m.ü.M mit dem Matterhorn auf Augenhöhe war spitzenmässig !

Warum Zermatt im Europa zu finden ist..
Wir werden am Bahnhof abgeholt und herzlich begrüsst. Das Hotel liegt ruhig etwas abseits vom grössten Rummel. Die Zimm sind gross. Das SPA ist verfügt über eine Sauna, Bio-Sauna, Dampfbad, grosses Whirlpool und ist neu und stilvoll eingerichtet. Für CHF 35.-- Halbpensionsaufschlag bekommen wir ein ausgezeichnetes 6-gängiges Menue, - auch die Weinpreise erscheint uns fair. Wir sind begeistert vom ausserordentlich freundlichen Personal, und dem ausgezeichneten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Europa liegt mitten in Zermatt

Kurze Wege zu den Bahnen zur Monta-Rosa Hütte bzw. auf kleine Matterhorn. Von dort in 1.5 Std. auf den einfachsten Viertausender der Schweiz (fürs erste Mal sollte man sich einen Bergführer leisten)
