We decided to visit St. Gallen over the Easter weekend, to take advantage of a few days off to see this fascinating city.
The Einstein Hotel staff are completely wonderful. The hotel itself is comprised of two different buildings: an older one
where the "comfort" rooms are, and a newer one where the "superior" rooms are. Though we reserved a comfort room, upon seeing the room, we quickly decided to upgrade to a superior one (mainly to have a bathtub). The desk clerk was kind enough to give us the three day upgrade for the price of two.
The bar and restaurant are very good, though pricey. It is worth noting that in spite of a smoking ban in Switzerland, the bar does have a smoking room, with full bar service. Needless to say that this is the busiest part of the hotel.
Generally, we enjoyed staying at the Einstein, and would stay there again on our next trip to St. Gallen.
