We had two delightful days at Morteratsch. It's just a Hotel by a glacier. The train will take you to town when you can tear yourself away. The room was clean and bright with comfortable beds. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good.
The location was a dream.

Fabulous location, great facilities
The location is fabulous: right at the foot of the Morteratch Mtn. and its fabulous glacier and adjacent to the train which chugs up to the Bernina Pass. The owners were attentive to every detail--hiking suggestions, etc.; separate dining and
breakfast rooms make the place truly special--each decorated with careful Swiss craftsmanship and detail. Dinner was a vegetarian special with local mushrooms--perfect, after a day of hiking. The price was the best of our two week trip to Switzerland, and considering location, food, and service, we'd go back in a heartbeat.
