The hotel is a family owned and managed business; which is already in its third generation. It is centrally located within close proximity to the Old Town; the train station; the KKL Culture and Congress Centre; Casino and all other major points of interest. All guest rooms have free wireless LAN; safe; radio; TV; bath or shower; toilet; hairdryer and telephone. Over the past couple of years; the hotel has established itself as a typical Swiss restaurant near downtown Lucerne; where business managers as well as the casual workers meet for lunch or dinner. The Weinhof looks forward to welcoming you to our friendly hotel. The hotel offers limited parking spaces available at a charge an on previous request. Additional information; Children under the age of 2 stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children over this age will be considered an adult. The hotel reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number and CVC code.

Convenient and good value

Room clean and comfortable; street side rooms are extremely noisy. Staff very helpful and courteous. Adequate shelf and storage space; convenient bar and restaurant off lobby. Large, clean bathroom with exceptionally good shower; room well lighted, good cross ventilation; easy 15-minute walk to train station. Breakfast adequate but not exceptional.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

15 minute walk to transportation station: bus, train, boat. Can take the boat across the lake to a train or cable car to the top of Mt. Rigi - amazing view.

Lovely,unless you really are a nonsmoker

Charming Hotel with very clean rooms and a courteous staff. However, for a non-smoker the experience was less than desireable as the dining room and lobby area were dense with smoke by mid-day. Breakfast (which is included)was quite a nice spread of yougurt, fruit salad, cereal, milk, OJ, tea, coffee, coldcuts (traditional Euro fair) and of course that amazing bread! If you are a smoker, you will find your stay to be most enjoyable.
