Really close to the train station, plain, clean

The hotel is very very close to the train station (3mins walk), but on the less attractive part of it; it is clean, the staff is pleasant. I had a very early train so I missed the breakfast (which started at 6:30am). The carpeting in the corridors smelled (kind of like dust or smoke), but the room was clean, the smell abated (or I got used to it). The bed was reasonably comfortable, warm. Room was standard size for Europe (=small). Little furniture, no space to work really. WifI was pretty good (and free).

Convenient no-frills Hotel

I stayed here while attending a conference in Lausanne. The Hotel is right behind the train station, so it is very convenient. The staff is very helpful, breakfast is included in the rate and is quick and good -- breads, meats, cheese, cereal, tea/coffee/milk/cocoa, juice, yogurt, fruits, etc. They have free Wi-Fi and I had no problems with it. Small room & bathroom, but adequate for a business traveler. Its a no-frills, clean and convenient hotel for a moderate price. You need a more fancy hotel, you pay up (this is Switzerland!) The hotel gives you a "Mobility card" for free travel on Metro & Bus locally.

Great simple hotel with tasty breakfast

This is a convenient, simple hotel right next to the train station. Easy access to everything; metro stop a block away. Our room overlooked the railroad but the triple-glazed window and curtain together did a great job of keeping us from being disturbed by any noise. The room was quite small and the bathroom tiny, which we expected. The continental breakfast was lovely with wonderful pastries, perfectly ripe fruit, hard-boiled eggs, cheeses, and good coffee. The beds were extremely firm. Very friendly staff. We would stay there again.

This little Swiss hotel is exactly

This little Swiss hotel is exactly how it is described. It is literally at the Station, so wheeling out numerous suitcases was a breeze. For European standards, the room size was ok., though small by USA standards. The breakfast room very quaint, and the Swiss restaurant very good, and having a cheese fondue a must. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when visiting Lausanne.

Lusanne Hotel Minotel AlaGare

The location of the Minotel AlaGare was wonderful. Literally around a 100 yds from the train station and two and a half blocks from the Metro. From the hotel we were able to get to any place we wanted to go in minutes!

Muy bien situado, al lado de la

Muy bien situado, al lado de la estación del tren y muy cerca del metro, el servicio muy amable, alguna habla español, no hemos tenido ninguna queja. Tranquilo y confortable.
