Very clean. Newly renovated. Great bathroom. Overall rooms are on small side, but typically European. Very friendly ... helpful front desk. Superb location for travel around Switzerland. Across from train station, easy walk around Geneva and also convenient to buses. No included breakfast but easy access to restaurants or quick take out at station.

I was on business but took a tour. Very convenient location. Super friendly people. One of the best hotels I have ever ... stayed. Only exception was it was hot the day I arrived and they had cut off the air conditioning for the season.

Go to the underground shopping market two doors down from the hotel for food and snacks. Remember to take your own shopping bag as they do not furnish them. Water, cokes, sandwiches etc are much cheaper than buying in a restaurant.

The large dept store Manor is a short walk from hotel and its full of high quality stuff (except cuckoo clocks!) They have a huge restaurant on the top floor which has an incredibly wide range of cooked and cold foods.

Top location, top service
Sabir Oct 24, 2009
It was a relaxing long weekend, seeing sights, shopping souvenirs and seeing old friends. But although Check-in was ... excellent, courteous and quick, with advice and suggestions. Check-out was just as friendly, with advice on travel and suggestions. There was one downside - I booked a double room, and was told at check-in that it was a double room, we infact got a room with two single bed pushed together. That was disappointing, as my wife and I ended up sleeping practically in separate beds.

the hotel was perfect for everything i needed. provides a friendly atmosphere, and timely help, and advice in providing maps, ... and providing train schedule information. There were no hassles, and i felt comfortable coming, and leaving the hotel.it was nice seeing a friendly face. i had a great time in geneva.

it would be nice if the hotel provided a small list or suggestions of moderately priced restaurants with locations . i didn't think to ask, but it would be nice to be provided with that. i had a very full itinerary of things to do. this was not a negative thing or meant to be critical.

Hotel Warwick Geneva
Rebecca and Ros Oct 15, 2009
My husband and I stayed for four nights and highly recommend the Warwick in Geneva. We paid $689.97 without breakfast in ... advance. Perhaps you can get a better price. The staff are warm and friendly and very helpful. The rooms are well equipped and clean and the bathrooms are nicely done in marble. Their mattresses are very comfortable. Ask for a room on the other side of the building that does not face the street and train station. The best deal is the free transportation card that they give when you register. Bus, tram, boat and even the train to the airport are all free. We did not take any of the tours because the city is small and with the free transportation card you can easily see all the sites on your own. Breakfast is filled with so many choices and you can even ask for your eggs to be cooked the way you want it. You should inform the registration desk in advance so that you get charged 26 francs instead of 30 francs. The only thing that we were not prepared for since we had paid for the stay well in advance was we were charged city tax of 7.20 per night.

Except for buying Lindt and Toblerone chocolates on sale, we could not do much shopping because of the very expensive Swiss prices. Go to Migros or Denner right next door or the Manor a few blocks down and check out their ACTION (which means on sale or discounted prices)specials. There is a Chinese restaurant right across the Cornavin train station which offers a prix fixe menu for 26 francs and the food was great. One of the best places to visit is the International Red Cross museum - what an experience! The exhibits are so well done and very informative as well as emotional. And if you have time, take the bus to Annecy, France - just 1.5 hours away. The bus station is right across the street from the Tourist Info office which is inside the Post Office Building. Note that there is no tourist info office in the main Cornavin train station. Annecy is the Venice of France and is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. It is 33 swiss francs roundtrip and worth it! If you can stay a night or two, it would be well worth it.

Big Box Near the Train
Jan Oct 13, 2009
The Warwick is a big box hotel convenient to the train station and it is an easy hop by train from the airport to the train ... station in Geneva. It is an ok hotel, but the district in which it is located does not offer very much, e.g. a decent breakfast, which was not included. Reception resolved the confusion caused by [...]use of my middle rather than my last name to make the reservation.

Really nice hotel...
Two long-time friends Oct 13, 2009
Very nice hotel. Even though it is near the train station, the area felt very safe, and there is all kinds of restaurants ... around the corner, a good souvenir store a block away, 24hr supermarket in the train station, great location for our purposes. We were two girls and have no complains at all. 5-10 minute walk to the lake. I definitely recommend it.

The personnel and their professionalism were very remarkable. The hotel location nearby the central bus and train station ... has been an important advantage for us. The room was large compare to European standard. Free public transportation in Geneva during our trip has been very appreciated. Restauration was very expensive.

yamakake Sep 14, 2009
Hotel extremely convenient to central train station. Friendly and efficient check-in, and helpful staff otherwise. Exterior ... of hotel is vintage 1970s ugly modern, but hotel is renovated. Lobby nice and bright, hallway (on my floor, anyway) musty smelling but room just about perfect: subdued modern decor, newly renovated bathroom (exquisitely clean), complimentary tea and coffee with kettle, free ethernet and wifi connections. A bit of noise on Saturday night from the passers-by in the street, so I used ear plugs that night.

Geneva offers free public transit cards to guests in hotels. The clerk at reception volunteered this information (though I already knew and would have asked). The train to the airport is included, and since it only takes five minutes it is amazingly convenient.

Close to the Lake (1/4 mile)and right across from the train station. Grocery right down street and also in the train station ... shopping area. Bus access also at the station. Waterfront was beautiful but city off of the water a bit dirty. Hotel was great.
Traveler type: Couples
City is fairly small and transportation is free with voucher provided by the hotel.
