Schatzalp Snow & Mountain Resort

The impressive Art Nouveau-style Schatzalp Hotel boasts a spectacular location on a sunny terrace above Davos. It is reachable with its own funicular and features its own, private ski area. Fine cuisine is served in the Belle Epoque dining hall or on the Snow Beach terrace. Half board is available on request. It offers historic-style rooms and also features a swimming pool and a sauna. Situated amidst a beautiful botanical garden with 3500 species of alpine plants, the Schatzalp is also well known from the novel "The Magic Mountain" written by Thomas Mann. With a peaceful location 300 meters above Davos this traditional hotel is reached by a short ride on the Schatzalp funicular (four minutes) from the main street and enjoys glorious panoramic views across the valley. The rooms are in old style but have charm and are very comfortable. All rooms have bath or shower, wc, telephone, radio, and modem connection and there is also free Wi-Fi access in the south rooms and the hotel lobby. All south-facing rooms have a loggia (large balcony for sunbathing). Superior south-facing twin rooms are very spacious. breakfast buffet and four course dinner are served in the hotel's dining room. There is also the rustic restaurant Schatzalp which is located just a few steps from the hotel and enjoys lovely views over Davos.
