Family business, near main railway station. Creatively adapted cuisine, excellent service in restaurant and hall. Note: The hotel has no parking space but there's a public parking lot just 5 minutes away.

Great Location. Nice hospitality.

Great Location. Nice hospitality. One minor is that the elevators are too old (as most European buildings are) Nice breakfast.

Comfortable and clean, but shared bathrooms

This hotel was convenient and comfortable, especially for a shorter stay. I much prefer an in-suite bathroom, but for a shorter stay, this was perfect. Pros: -Super close to the main train station -Breakfast included -Very friendly staff -Sink in the room, so you could wash your face and brush your teeth in the room -Free WiFi -Free use of a computer available to guests Cons: -The bathrooms were shared -The elevator does not go to the top floor Note: this says that I traveled in January 2012, but it was 2013 - the form hasn't updated yet!

Great experience!

Berne is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The hotel is in an incredible location. it is across the street from where the pedestrian area begins. They have a small restaurant in a small island in the middle of the avenue, the rooms are very clean. The hotel is nice, the staff is wonderful. We had a 2-year old and a newborn with us, and did not have any problems. The room was a little small, but they were able to fit a crib in the room and we were allowed to leave our really expensive and large stroller with the reception over night. There was a breakfast included, and it was good. They had hard-boiled eggs (which is very common in Europe), meats, cheese and sausages. Overall we were really happy with the hotel, location and value. But for us, it was the ease of moving around with the kids and its proximity to all the sights. We would stay here again! Oh, parking is nearby for about US30 per day. It's expensive, but it's Switzerland. Not bad.

A good spot

A good location near the railroad station, trams and old town. Great food in restaurant. Desk staffed by owners/managers 24 hours and very helpful. Not fancy. Very clean.

Really helpful hotel

A traditional friendly 'old style' no nonsense hotel, family run, I believe. We arrived at 5am having driven through the night. The hotel staff immediately took on board we were tired, and had our room ready by 9am - what service! With free internet, a good buffet continental breakfast and excellent location in the city centre (which was not noisy). I would highly recommend.

Just watch the price of things - very expensive! Whatever non-perishable supplies you can bring with, I would.
