Not what I expected
This hotel has no air condition and the clock bells ring all night long. You must keep the windows open or the heat in the summer will be stifling. If you want to sleep you will need extra heavy duty ear plugs. It was very smoky in all of the hall ways. Most of the staff must smoke for it to be ubiquitous in all ares of the hotel. The rooms were very large and the extra cot in the room was sturdy and great for the third person in the room. This is hard to find in most hotels. Breakfast was very good. No internet in the room. The night personal was new and had no one there to guide her when we checked into the Hotel. It was not very easy to find from the train station. Bern is a lovely city and we enjoyed our stay.

I would recommend this hotel if you are able to put up with the above problems. It is convenient to the old city and a fun area to locate yourself.

Very basic room but comfortable and there were common tea making, internet and excercise areas. Internet was free. Breakfast had a limited range but ok. Located in heart of old city. Walking distance to the main train station and with a metro very close. Good hotel for a short stay.

Excellent location. Staff is nice.
Excellent location. Staff is nice. It is pity the wifi is not free. They have a computer room but is was always full. We had our room looking to the street that is normally a quiet one but we suffered from extremely big noise in the very early morning because of the vans carrying goods to the shops. (An other advice: visiting restaurants in Bern always check your bill.)

AUF KEINEM FALL WIEDER. Die Lage am Bärenplatz ist top.
Unser Zimmer No.11 lag in einem Seitenflügel, wir musten unser Gepäck beim Checkin / Checkout durch das Frühstückszimmer tragen. Das Personal an der Rezeption war absolut inkompetent - unterschiedliche Aussagen zu Bezahlung. Wir hatten 350 € für zwei Tage bezahlt, in diesem Teueren Preis müßte Internet mit dabei sein. In diesem Hotel muss man für 30min / 5CHF und für 3h / 15 CHF bezahlen. Das Früschstück war auch schlecht und hat höchstens 1* verdient und nicht 3*. Alles zusammen war das Hotel sauber und in die Lage ist Top, LEIDER KANN ICH JEDEM NUR ABRATEN DIESES HOTEL ZU BUCHEN:

The hotel is quite close to the main train station and it is the most important point. The room was rather small and disappointing (compared to the price ; but in Berne the average can be higher than the average). The breakfast was very good.

La chambre sentait fortement la
La chambre sentait fortement la fumée froide (alors que j'avais réservé une chambre non-fumeur). Chambre bruyante car: mal isolée des autres, horloge qui sonne toutes les heures juste devant, bruit des gens sortant des bars, ... Bon petit-déjeuner.
