Euro tourist
The most horrible hotel
Personal refused to change a room with a window that was broken. No airconditioner, no fan. Very dirty, old, smelly and all furniture was dusty and damaged. I wouldn't recoment it to anyone.

The only positive about it is that it's located 30 min walk from the old city and has continental breakfas and small restaurant downstairs.

Wonderful Room
Beautifully decorated, modern room w/a fantastic view of the Matterhorn from both the room & balcony. Comfortable double bed (where you don't fall in the crack in the middle:) & nice roomy closets. Spacious bathroom w/a nice power showerhead. First, flat screen TV we've seen in a room in Europe! Breakfast was very good, but wish they had some boiled eggs (more protein) & bacon, but we know that's a lot to ask for in Europe. Hotel is located uphill from the main village, so it can be a killer after a nice big dinner. Close to all Zermatt has to offer: hiking trails, lifts, etc.

Although the hotel only offers breakfast, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from w/in a minute or two walk.
