Vestberga Hotel is located in
Vestberga Hotel is located in an industrial-office district of South Stockholm, but close to Stockholm's Fairgrounds, so it would be very popular with several people attending the latter. I was taken aback by the almost complete lack of knowledge by the staff of ways to get to the Massan (Fairgrounds), which turned out to be very easy (bus 143 that passes by Vesberga Alle, stop Karusselplan, 200 m from the Hotel!). I should also say that I was taken aback that this relative lack of knowledge also existed among the professional staff at the Fairgrounds!! A simple map at the hotel showing bus routes etc would do wonders! In other respects the hotel was decent, but inadequate. Clean, and with a nice breakfast, but too small curtains to provide for privacy with a good internect connection but a telephone way off at the window! Instead of a chair there was a small stool, but a chair was provided when I asked for one.

This is truly an over glorified hostel. The room was fitted with 2 single beds and a bunk bed which was broken. The power sockets were hanging out the wall. The room was never cleaned, and for been a “hotel” it offered now soaps etc. The location was awful, based in an industrial site. The only way to the metro was to pass under two tunnels running under a highway, not safe at night times! Breakfast was mediocre! Worst hotel / hostel we ever stayed. The only reason why we took it, as there was a cardiac conference where everything else was booked up, if I was you, best to pay a little more and stay as far away from this place possible. It is truly a dump, not a three star hotel, more like the lowest of low end of hostels! Positive side, we didn’t see any rats nor cockroaches, even they have taste not to go there!

Budget value
Room had a very narrow bed. No curtains in the room; it was at the back of the hotel by the motorway overpass - only 2 strips of see-through cloth - meant you had an early wake-up during the Scandinavian summer. Route from local metro station easy to follow and plenty of trains into the city.
