Unforgettable
Just a great experience! Right in the heart of things, yet private and quiet. It was exactly what we were looking for. I would stay there again in a heartbeat if I'm ever lucky enough to go back to Stockholm. One caveat: if you can't walk well, this may not be the best place for you. There is a city bus that stops very close but runs only every 20 minutes and stops at 9:30 p.m. For most, this is no big deal. The walk from many great restaurants is short and pleasant -- but my 80 year old Mom would need to take a taxi so she might feel isolated.

We bought the Stockholm Card for our visit. Makes it so easy to go to museums and hop on and off buses, trams, T-bahn without trying to figure out ticketing machines or searching for spare change!

Great choice for Stockholm…
Quality accommodation without the starched, cliquey atmosphere that some more established establishments suffer from and in an ideal setting… highly recommended. Excellent food on-site, very easy access on foot, by bus and ferry to the sights you need to see - with notable others on the island itself. A quiet, relaxed and friendly place to stay… no hesitation in recommending.

Long walk from hotel
The Hermitage café at Stora Nygatan 11 in Gamla Stan (a short ferry ride/short walk or a long walk) offers a delicious vegetarian buffet at reasonable (for Stockholm) cost…

Lovely, friendly, quiet hotel
We loved staying at the Hotel Skeppsholmen. It was very comfortable, with a very friendly staff, in a very quiet part of the city. It's right next to the modern art museum, right next to buses and ferries, and is a short and pretty walk to the wonderful national art museum and the old part of town.

Near everything in Stockholm
We did a lot of sightseeing while we in Stockholm. Fortunately for us, where we stayed was close to many of the attractions we wanted to see so we were able to walk to them. When it was necessary to use transportation that too was very close to where we stayed.

Perfect Location
We loved the location of the hotel and the room. We had the large lake view room on the 3rd floor with a beautiful view of the park and lake. Also loved the inspired design - very artful lighting and the bathroom fixtures etc. were top notch. They make a big deal of the fact that the beds are Duxiana beds. They were not bad but I must say that I would not any longer consider buying one after having slept on one for 3 nights - definitely nothing special. The old town Gamlastan, Södermalm, Norrmalm and Östermalm are all in walking distance - and the walk is really pretty too! LOVED this hotel!

Interesting Location
Very nice new hotel in a quiet off the beaten path part of central Stockholm. Room was on the smaller side but nice and clean with excellent shower. Hotel has excellent restaurant. Very close to modern art museum. Ask for upper floor, lower floor can be noisy with people walking past the window.
