Great Hotel

Excellent in every way: location, staff, room, amenities. I travel quite a lot in Europe and stay in many hotels. I rank this hotel in the very top tier. Each room has a DVD player and a library of movies, with hundreds more available free from the front desk. I found the neighborhood very interesting and nicely located. All in all, a great find.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The old section of the city is a short walk away. Although it is filled with tourists and tourist attractions, the restaurants are surprisingly good with a wide selection of cusines.

Stockholm boutique hotel

It's a special hotel in a special city. It's a easy walk to the T-bana (subway) or to Gamla Stan. It's a young city. As my wife says, about every 10th woman looks like Heidi Klum, and I agree completely!! The city is walkable and friendly. [A T-bana ticket taker let us through for free when we didn't have the correct change late at night, saying if anyone questions you, call me here at this booth]. Besides the usual tourist things, go over to Djurgarden and after you see the Vasa Museum, rent some bikes [right beside the bridge]. Ride around the whole island. Our favorite spot, along the canal.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Walk out of the hotel to the right, up the hill on Blecktornsgrand and look at the view of Stockholm from there. Night is even more beautiful.

Great Hotel

Great Hotel. Although the room was small, it had everything you could ever need and the value was good. They were so friendly and even had a toothbrush and toothpaste for us when we needed it! The beds were also really comfortable and the shower was great.

A Fabulous Hotel

This is a fabulous hotel, and the one in which I stay whenever I visit Stockholm. If you are not there for business and can stay outside of Normalm, then I would suggest this hotel. It is located on the island of Sodermalm (Soder), within walking distance to everything the energetic Soder has to offer. It is also a short walk to Gamla Stan, Slussen and located near the Mariatorget T station. The staff are amazingly friendly and accommodating, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet well stocked. The beds are foolishly comfortable, every room has a flat screen TV and iPod docks, and many have roof access windows. The hotel is located in the quiet neighborhood of Mariatorget, with a park just across the street. Sodermalm has some of the best night life of Stockholm, and also some of the best restaurants. Both Kvarnen and Pelikan, restaurants serving traditional Swedish fare, are located on Soder. There are also an infinite number of diverse restaurants, cafes and small boutiques to be found in Soder. Gotgatan (one of the main roads in Soder) is a five minute walk away from the hotel, and is loaded with great shopping. The hotel also has two lounges, and as a "musician's" hotel, can be host to very interesting guests. Bottom line: I love this hotel, and look forward to returning as often as I can.
