Loved the location and perfect breakfast.

I stayed there for 3 nights and loved the location. Walking distance to most attraction and train is a block away. I loved the breakfast, best I had seen in 2 weeks of travel in Scandinavia. The staff was helpfull. Only down side was late night noise that can be loud at times but it didn't bother me. Dan

Time-saving tip: Long walk from hotel

I tried a little "speed travel" since I had not much time off from work. I left hotel in shorts and long sleeve T and went for a long jog,walk , sightseeing. I visited museums, stop at cafe for lunch and came back 4 hrs later having a good feel of the city. Loved it.

Completely Disappointed

My room was cramped, about 8 foot square, with a child size bed and no place to put away clothes. All furniture and fabrics were decades old and tired. (Bathroom however was renovated and OK). This is a modest bed and breakfast, not a hotel. I had to leave and find another hotel.

A special place!

Great location & friendly staff

Hotel has a great location on a very quiet street in old town; with a walking distance to all the major tourist places, including a 5 minute walk to the Royal Palace or the Nobel Prize building. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the hotel was super good. The rooms were small, but VERY clean and comfortable with all the amenities and a plasma TV. GREAT HOTEL...I will stay there again next time I visit the beautiful city of Stockholm.

Rica Hotel Gamla Stan

It was a great experience. Even though it was just one block from the action it was very quite. The rooms are great the feeling of being back in time but very well keep. I would recommend this Hotel anytime.

The breakfast was good, but the restaurant very crowded in the morning, it was hard to find a table. Quite noisy all night. We got our car damaged in the garage, the stuff has not been keen to hepl us.

We booked a superior room and

We booked a superior room and had a lovely room up on the top floor with a view of the nearby church steeple. Some travellers have commented on the rustic furniture, but for us it added to the charm of this hotel built in such an old building with so much of the original atmosphere from many years past. If you like plastic surfaces, this is perhaps not the place for you, but if you want to feel like you're in old Gamlastan, and have very friendly and accommodating service, then this is a great place to stay.
