I was fortunate to visit Albarracin in February of 2014. I traveled with a group of photographers and this part of our travels came at the end or our visit to Spain. I had read about this village by chance in an article about the up and coming
destinations of Europe. To say the least, it was a stroke of luck to have happened upon this destination. We arrived after 11pm in a light Winter rain. The city was literally shimmering in the moon's glow shining through the rain clouds overhead. Every twist and turn we took as we explored late into the night offered us magnificent sights, even at these hours. We woke again before dawn to snow showers that blanketed the city and surrounding mountainsides with snow. It gave us photo ops we could never dream possible. The hotel seems suspended in time and kept in the splendor of when it was built. The employees were gracious and the food, delightful. I hope to return someday!
