Hard to beat.
We only spent two nights and wish we had booked a third. The only criticism we can make is that our room was a bit dark, in part because the window opened on a walkway. But other than that, the place is great. The ambience of the place is wonderful. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was wonderful and in the evening one can sit in the ample lounge, read a paper or one's e-mail, listen to a gentleman playing the piano and have a glass of wine. When we are next in Seville, there will be no question of where we will stay.

Quirky to the point of unpleasant
Although thoroughly forewarned by other reviewers, we were still not completely prepared for the oddness of this hotel. We were in the last room in the last building (I think) and had to travel on two outside streets to reach it. The interior courtyards are indeed lovely and a real asset, however our room (not a suite) was quite small. I am a thin person, but my shoulders were touching the opposing walls in parts of the bathroom and shower. In addition, the internet connection in the lobby is very slow, almost prohibitively so. Finally, all of this would have been bearable if the hotel staff had been friendlier or the cost was less, I definitely felt that it was not worth the cost when compared to other upscale lodging, including other places we stayed in Spain.

This is Spain
The location is fantastic and the place very traditional. Flowers everywhere, antiques standing around, but super nice modern bathrooms, basically old little buildings - one linked to the next one by litte courtyards or hallways. You might need a "GPS" to find your room, but it is so cozy and beautiful and well worth the walk: just a beautiful antique Spanish home.

Funky Charm
First visit to Seville brought us into the pedestrian zone of the old city. Hotel has spa,but we did not use. Piano Bar for a relaxing predinner hour furnished with tacky old world stuff was also place for wireless internet connection...less than ideal. Staff were alert, responsive and helpful but this compound of old structures offers many obstacles for the physically impaired while elevator access to some is underplayed. Breakfast in the subterranean chamber featured more odd decorating tastes with mylar mirrored upper walls and ceilings in the vaulted areas. Generous buffet included was a treat. Room was medieval in some ways with charming beams etc but water pipes sounded like jet engines and passersby in outdoor corridor completely audible. However, hotel has the aspect of a medieval village with many modern conveniences!

Magical Juderia
This is not like any hotel I've ever stayed in. All of the courtyards and individual touches made my experience in Seville all the more authentic. I was amazed at the size of the hotel and got lost a few times getting back to my room. This hotel is central to all of the sites and the staff were great.

It was one of the most interesting
It was one of the most interesting hotels I've ever stayed in - such a pleasure walking through the courtyards to reception. There were 8 of us staying and everyone remarked on the comfort of the beds, the super bathrooms and how quiet the rooms were, especially being in the centre of a city. Breakfast was superb. Staff helpful. Just hope I get the chance to go back.

las casas review
This was one of the most interesting hotels we stayed in spain. It is unique being in an old building that is beautiful. There are internal courtyards and pool on roof with a nice view. The room was large for us and our child but his bed was very unconfortable. Our bed was better but not one of the better beds. The only negative was that the staff was not very helpful or friendly. The hotel can be confusing to get around. However, it is in a great location and would highly recommend.
