In the city of Carmen and Velazquez, between the magic of the Royal Alcazar Palace and a 15th century Gothic cathedral, theres a palace that since 1928 has been an integral part of Sevilles charm. It is the Hotel Alfonso XIII, built and inaugurated by the king whose name it bears to host royal families and illustrious guests in a sumptuous setting for their visits to the Great Exhibition. Those times are long gone, but the same hospitality lives on, and its splendour embodies the tradition, hospitality, aesthetic genius, and harmony of life that characterizes Seville.
Unveil new experiences in an Andalusian palace with square towers, mudejar-style windows and ceramics from Triana surrounded by a Sevillian fantasy of mysterious gardens, fountains and palm trees. From the lobby, to the inner-courtyard, to the outdoor swimming pool and along the marble of the patio, youll walk in the footsteps of kings.
The 147 rooms are decorated in Castillian, Moorish and Isabelline baroque style, with upholstered walls, crystal chandeliers and all the modern amenities that our guests deserve. Our sumptuous banquet halls, indigenous cuisine and an excellent service characterized by an eye for detail, personal attention and exquisite taste offer the unique experience of an authentic member of The Luxury Collection., For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel.

Fabulous historic hotel
Linda May 4, 2009
The hotel is one of two five star hotels is Seville. It was built in early 1900's in preparation for the Iberianexpo in 1929. ... It was named afer King Alfonso XIII who was the last king of Spain. The hotel is an architectural masterpiece with marble floors, high ceilings with intricate cornices, fabulous mosaic tile work. The walls in the bedroom were padded and covered with damask cloth. The bathroom was tiled in a moorish motif. The bedding was down (coverlet and pillows)and extreemly comfortable. Chocolates, strawberries and pinapple dipped in chocolate mysteriously appeared each night. Breakfast, for us, was included in the room rate. It was an elaborate buffet-beyond belief-everything from scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, baked tomatos, fresh omelets, champagne, fresh oj; four tables full of delicious food. The staff was helpful while not hovering. One night there was a party and a loud band playing under our window until 1:30 AM.Remembering that in Spain things don't get started until after ten o'clock helped but I still lost a half nights sleep. The pool was beautiful- The location was smack dab in the middle of ole Seville and a short distance to Triana, the April Feria, and bull ring.

Take a side trip to the Blanco Pueblos or white villages. The scenery is spectacular as you go into the mountains to see the villages. -Quite different from the flat terrain around Seville.
