Completely renovated and reopened in July 2006. Situated at a short distance from Ondarreta beach, Hotel Codina has a lot to offer. This comfortable and familiar Hotel is located in the heart of the city. It is 2 km from the train station and 200 meters from the Miramar Palace. It has TV lounge, free adsl and wifi connection, dining room for groups and banquets, Basque cuisine restaurant, cafeteria, meeting room and private garage. It also has a woman*s floor where the rooms are decorated in a feminine style. San Sebastian is situated 20 kms from the French border on the coast of the Cantabric sea, surrounded by mountains and it has got three beaches by the city itself: La Concha, between the Igueldo and Urgull mountains, Ondarreta and La Zurriola. San Sebastian is world wide famous for its International Film Festival and one of its most known buildings is the Victoria Eugenia Theater, former seat of the Festival, built in 1912 by the architect Urcola of Spanish Renaissance style. San Sebastian, also called Donostia *in the Basque language*, is also known as Bella Easo or Perla del Cantabrico, it has got a population of 185.000 inhabitants and a magnificent and characteristic architecture. *Distances - Ondarreta beach - 250 metres - Palacio Miramar Palace - 250 metres - University - 500 metres - City centre - 6 minutes by bus - Railway station -2 kilometres - International Film Festival - Victoria Eugenia Theater - Concha Beach - Igueldo Mountain

decent

San Sebastian is not the least expensive place to stay, but this hotel is a decent value considering it is in San Sebastian. The location is okay, not really close to old town, but nothing is that far away in San Sebastian. There is a nice grocery store very close, and it is not too far to the beach. The room was nice, but like most places in Spain, the mattress was too firm. I would still consider staying here again if the price is right
