Great hotel for a weekend in San Sebastian.

Incredible views, nice clean rooms, nice staff. I drove up the switchbacks as that is what google maps told me to do, but there is a much much easier drive up the south side of the hill/mountain. on the way down you can take an old school cable car to catch a cab or walk the bay.

Panoramic Views

We took a cab via a mountainous zig zag road as a prelude. We were checked in by very polite and courteous staff. Our room opened to a wall to wall window and balcony overlooking the bay of conch, Donostia-San Sebastián. It was an awesome view of the beach, the city, and the mountains. In the other direction is the view of the Atlantic coast towards Biarritz, France. Coffee was great! But food items leave much to be desired.

The the cable car at Monte Igueldo opens at 11:00 a.m. Take it down to the sea level and transfer to the city bus ruta 16. Spend all day in town and dinner at calle Fermin ( choice of restaurants e.g. Bodegon Alejandro, Ristaurante Txzalupa, etc. Fun does not start until 9 p.m.

Wonderful view, beautiful location

Hotel was in a beautiful location at the top of a small mountain at the point of the bay. View was fabulous, fun amusement park around the hotel and the funiclar which provided transportation up and down the mountain was lots of fun. Would highly recommend this hotel

Great views of San Sebastian

The Wi-Fi charges are too expensive. Breakfast at 25 euros per couple was a great value with great variety of choices. Bar staff somewhat standoffish and unhelpful lacking normal customer service focus. Balcony lights did not work nor did anyone know how to fix them. CNN TV channel reception was poor the entire stay and front desk did not know what or how to report the problem.
