The Tryp Bellver hotel, renovated in 2007, sits on the Paseo Maritimo esplanade in Palma, a great stretch of restaurants, bars and nightclubs, and in walking distance of the gorgeous beaches at the Bay of Palma. Nice location.. however rooms are poor

The location is nice for walking along the water. However, the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors quite easily as well as people in the hallway. This makes it difficult to sleep. The beds were not comfortable.

Wrong location for beaches

The hotel is about a 10 min drive from the airport, but I was hoping for beaches right out side the front door. Nope just a port for sail boats. In order to go to the beach we had to travel 25 minutes by bus to get to the beach. It was a really nice hotel just not in the place we were looking for. If you are looking to see the culture, aquarium, or other things the city has to offer then this is a good location right on the main street. We went scuba diving while we were there- that was really awesome. Good places to eat for a decent price everywhere.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

I would suggest staying down by Mallgulf or Palmanova, you can take a bus down there for cheap and it has everything you could ask for in beach and it is cheaper to stay down there.
