L'Avenida Hotel Soller Mallorca Island

My wife and I wanted a 5 day relaxing getaway while also being close to/or in a living town with history and culture rather than a purpose built resort. L'Avenida and Soller fitted that requirement perfectly. L'Avenida is a converted Townhouse (small family run hotel) with only 11 rooms and a few staff. Sometims you have to press bells for assistance but they always come relatively quickly and I felt it striked a good balance between wanting service and not being disturbed. Our welcome at 1am by the night manager was warm, freindly and faultless, our bags were quickly ferried to our rooms, and he took my hire car keys and said I did not need to worry about it being parked correctly or meterage as they would take care of it. Our room was gorgeous, we stayed in one of the suited at the front of the hotel, which although noisy in the morningd from the dawn chorus of birds and morning traffic, was more than made up for by the comfort and palatial room. The back of the hotel where the pool and breakfast is served is quiet and peaceful, so I guess the rooms there would be too. We did not use the pool as we went exploring each day, but we counted that there were enough beds for all the guests and they have a policy of not being able to reserve beds until you're actually there (which is a good thing). Maria and Matthew, the managers when we were thee could not of been more helpful and all their restaurant recommendations were spot on. We would stay again.

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral und doch ruhig gelegen (zumindest die Zimmer zum Innenhof). Tolles altes Gebäude, sehr schönes Ambiente. Matthew und sein Team kümmern sich hervorragend und persönlich um die Gäste. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut, aber nichts Besonderes. An 3 Abenden pro Woche kann man im Hotel sehr gute Tapas essen (nur gegen Vorbestellung). Leider war das Wetter noch etwas kühl, so dass wir den schönen Innenhof mit Pool nicht nutzen konnten. Wir hatten ein Zimmer auf Poolebene und damit verbunden einen eigenen Tisch vor dem Zimmer, an dem wir auch frühstücken konnten.
