The hotel towers high, surrounded by pine trees on Mount Gibralfaro and facing the Alcazaba, from where it is possible to make out the Bay and the city of Mlaga from a unique perspective. Constructed from stone alongside the Gibralfaro castle, its position allows one to visit Mlaga and is suitable for the practice of an infinity of sports activities, golf, tennis at the nearby facilities of the Parador del Golf.
The public spaces of the hotel, as well as the rooms and the attic swimming pool enjoy beautiful views over the city and the sea, while offering an excellent level of comfort and convenience. With a magnificent display of Andalusian gastronomy, the restaurant offers fried 'pescatos a la malaguea', among other dishes.

- Located on the site of the Alcazaba in Malaga, it can be reached from the bullring in the center of Malaga taking the Paseo Reding towards East Malaga, and then taking the Paseo Salvador Rueda towards the Gibralfaro Castle. The Parador is located alongside the castle of the same name. A simpler way of getting there, if coming from the dual-carriageway from Algeciras or the dual-carriageway from Antequera, Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla and Madrid (A-45) is to take the Ronda de Malaga towards Almeria-Motril and take the turn-off for 'Limonar' at km. 244. From here follow signs for Gibralfaro Castle or those for the Parador itself. This same exit is taken if coming from Almeria-Nerja.
