Ecological forerunner in Spanish hotel design
The sleekly designed building is the first thing guests notice, but it's not all about design or location, though the Monte Malaga wins in both attributes. The hotel is committed to sustainable tourism, with ecological features such as solar panels supporting this ethic. And everything is located just a few yards away from Malaga's major tourist sites such as the Picasso Museum, the city's Convention Centre, and walking-distance beaches. With eight fully equipped, size-adjustable conference rooms, the hotel is also popular with business visitors.
3 Reasons To Stay:
- Easily accessed by road or rail
- Specially designed and built to protect the environment
- Ideally situated for sightseeing, shopping, and beach activities
Monte Malaga Rooms
Most of the 179 rooms have sea views and are elegantly, but comfortably, furnished. As well as the standard 300 square foot rooms, the hotel provides Junior Suites, which have a separate lounge, a balcony or terrace, and a whirlpool bath. The top-of-the-range suite has a floor area of 1,100 square feet, decorated in a classic style with a lounge, dining room, dressing rooms, and a 484 square foot terrace with views to the sea. The bathroom has a sauna and Jacuzzi. There are a few rooms especially for smokers, and female-friendly rooms for business women staying on their own. All rooms are air-conditioned and guests have the use of broadband Internet, heated pool, Turkish baths, Finnish sauna, and a fitness center within the hotel. All beds are either twin singles or doubles and there is also a pillow menu.

Nice hotel
Hotel is really close to Malaga Maria Zambrano train station, no need to take a taxi from the airport. You can enjoy your walk to the main attractions in Malaga, though you may have to take a bus when you want to come back to the hotel.

Very good modern hotel
Conveniently located hotel for the business traveller with a good and friendly service and modern infrastructures. The only draw back are the rather limited opening hours of the swimming pool (10 a.m. to 9 p.m.) and the lack of a room service after 11 p.m.

Family holiday
Good eco friendly hotel. The corridors were dark until you walked into them to save electricity, and the building had solar panels all round it. Easy to find as it is on the main coast road, it is well situated in walking distance of the centre of Malaga with all of it's historic attractions and bustling restaurants, but far enough away to be quiet. It has a nice pool and spa with sauna, steam room etc. It is immediately opposite the port, but an easy walk to nearest beach. It has an underground secure car park and is a short drive along the coast in either direction to lots of beaches.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
The hotel breakfast was a wonderful buffet, with fantastic choice but rather expensive at 12 euros each, but on almost every street corner were cafes and bars serving breakfast which was cheaper and had more Spanish atmosphere.

Nice Hotel, walking distance to city center
If you're a non-smoker, please reserve a non-smoking room. The first room they gave me smell like strong cigar smoke. I'm usually not that sensitive, but this one put me over the top! The staff gladly changed my room.

Great modern place to stay
very modern and clean, would recommend to anyone. We did learn that we need to specify just one bed while traveling in Europe, or you end up with two twins shoved together

Feriengast in Malaga
Sauberes Hotel
Lage am Meer aber beim Hafen. Zum Strand ca 20min zu Fuss. Personal sehr freundlich. Gutes Hotel.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
