Friendly boutique hotel close to Plaza de Santa Ana and art museums
The Vincci Soho boutique hotel is housed in five cultural heritage buildings that have been restored and now house 169 modern guest rooms, some with balconies with views of the city. Great stay!
The room was small (as per US standards) but comfortable. It was a great location, close to the metro and attractions, but on a noisy street. If you need complete silence to sleep at night, stay out of it!

Location is perfect
The location is great, a walking distance from Prado Museum, Soho metro station, Royal Palace, Plaza del Mayor etc. You can maximally utilize your time for strolling around Madrid downtown. The breakfast costs 17 euros per person. I though it was very expensive but it's worth it. We enjoyed everything there, hamon serano, Spanish omelet, bread, fruits, cakes etc. The room we stayed was really small. Especially, the bathroom was so small that after taking shower, the floor around toilet became completely wet. I forgot the power plug converter. The power plug shapes are different between US and Spain. Then, I asked them whether they have one or not. But they had only a converter between UK and Spain. And the wired internet cost 9 euros for 3 nights and the wireless cost 9 euros per hour! I think they should be more prepared for customers who use IT.

Excellent location and great design for a fair price! The only dissappointment is the route to the room - we had to change 2 elevators to get to our one

The hotel is very clean etc and
The hotel is very clean etc and has a valuable central location. The catch is that there is a complicated one-way system around it with the problem exacerbated with road works (August 2010). The car parking facility is also useful but very expensive.

Rooms are very noisy. Elevators
Rooms are very noisy. Elevators have bells which do kling loudly all night long and there are patios or terrazas between the houses. They are full of people having fun all night long. Dont book this hotel if you have an early flight to catch.

The hotel is in a terrific location. You can walk to everything and there are restaurants nearby making cab fares unnecessary. The room was lovely, though dark and was immaculate.

It's always sunny in Madrid
Great location! you can walk to all the museums, a major train station and other popular destinations. We arrived one day early at the Vincci Soho to escape the rain in Mallorca. The front desk accommodated our early arrival without question. Our room had a modern design and the bathroom was especially nice (I love double sinks!). I have two complaints about the room, one is minor and the other is significant. The first and definitely more minor, is that the shower door only covers the front half of the shower. This is problematic because the spray from the shower gets the floor wet and makes it slippery. The second complaint is about the bed. It had to have been one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on...hard as a rock. Although, I have to say that this is a common occurrence throughout Europe. The restaurant at the hotel is very good as is the food available in the lounge. Service is great!

The train to Toledo is a 10 minute walk away. Be sure to buy your tickets in advance to get on the train of your choice. Toledo is such a popular destination that the tickets sell out.
