Convenient Airport Hotel

We stayed so we could get the shuttle to the Madrid airport quickly, and it worked very well. We did not have breakfast, and there was no coffee in the room, but there was plenty at the airport! We enjoyed the sushi restaurant right on the property and found the desk staff who could speak English very helpful. It seemed to be undergoing renovation, but was not bothersome. Pool was not available.

Metro station about a 4 minute walk. Take the metro to the heart of Madrid for one euro!

A great break from hostels

My friend and I stayed at the Tryp Diana after we came in from a late flight. The free shuttle was absolutely necessary. Even if it did take a while, if you're expecting that it's fine. There's also a metro station not too far away that can take you directly into the city center. It's in a nice residential area; we had breakfast at a charming bakery between the hotel and the metro. There's not much I can say about the room itself; it was clean and standard. For us on this trip it was wonderful because we paid about the same price as a hostel, but had our own room and bathroom for the first time in a while, and actually were able to sleep in peace. The staff was really nice and helped us find our way around.

all in all, a nice clean hotel

all in all, a nice clean hotel which is close to the airport for short stays. It is also close to the tube station so relying on taxis is also not a must.

Good, but noisy

The staff was fine. The room was fine. The shuttle to the airport worked well. The hallway was noisy all night. No carpeting

It doesn't get much worse than this!

This hotel is one of the worst I've stayed in. The hotel itself was not clean . Our bathroom had a bad odor and was short on soap and any amenities. There was no hair dryer and when I asked the front desk they said they would send one up but never did. The staff was surly. The beds were cotlike, uncomfortable and only twins. The pool was black and not in use (Although it had not been below the 80's in degrees in Madridi in 2 weeks. It did have a shuttle bus to the airport and the cafeteria workers were helpful.

A value for money hotel. The

A value for money hotel. The only draw back is the unreasonable internet fee. A walking map to metro should be provided to travellers visiting town centre. I would stay in this hotel again.

best price with free airport shuttle

Shaving kits and dental kits are available free at the front desk. We've stayed several times at this hotel, near the airport. Most of the rooms have been nicely updated.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Walk to the metro station, about 15 minutes, or take the bus, (the stop is in on the street in back of the hotel) into town. Taxis are expensive, especially when public transportation is so good!

More Family friendly:

The Tryp Diana hotel seemed to be more family oriented than for Business. The internet service was expensive. The rooms and Halls in the Hotel could definitely use some updating. The Hotel Lobby and resturant areas were more updated than the rooms.
