Petit Palace President Castellana

Hotel is right off Paseo de la Castellana in the upscale Salamanca area with many highend shops close by (metro 'Serrano'). The hotel is about 15-minute walk to Chueca. Strolling along the beautifual Paseo de la Castallena to Gran Via/Puerta del Sol or Prado/Thyssen/la Reina Sofia museums further south is such a pleasure. Metro takes about 30 minutes to get to/from the airport. The hotel also has complementary shuttle to the airport on weekends and holidays, which is excellent. I used it on new year day and it only took 20 minutes to get to T1. The hotel design is modern chic in good conditions.The size of living area and bath is decent but there are some tight corners. Bed is not as comfortable to my liking but it works. Free lap top in the room with internet connection is convenient. The hotel also gave complementary cava, sweets and grapes for the new year eve celebration, which is a nice touch.

We just returned from a blissful trip to Madrid. As a family we had never traveled to Europe, so everything was new to us. Thankfully, we chose a great location for us, super easy trip on the Metro from the airport to Colon. Just a few blocks to the hotel from this stop and the walk is beautiful. Our kids, ten and fourteen, really liked being able to escape the busiest parts of the city and return to this peaceful place at the end of a long day of touring. The hotel itself is simple, decorated in a dark, modern fashion. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but everything in the room was very clean and operated fine. Our room had bunk beds and a double bed. Was much smaller than looked on line, but we were able to store our clothes in cabinets and put suitcases under the bunk beds with no problem. We were disappointed that our view was of a dirty roof area that looked across to other room windows. Still, it was fine for our purposes of having a clean, efficient place to stay near the metro. Had breakfast one morning, two for one, so around 7.5 euros each. Was worth it for a busy morning, with lots of options and fresh juice and coffee included. Having the grocery store and shopping district right across the street was very convenient. Made it super easy to keep water, snacks, and wine in the room. The front desk was helpful when we had an emergency call and let us dial from there back to the USA for a few minutes. They were able to speak English also, which made life easier for us. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nous avons apprécié la taille de la chambre pour une famille de 4 , la connection internet et l'ordinateur portable, la situation de l'hotel relativement proche des quartiers centraux et la qualité du petit déjeuner, toutes ces prestations pour un prix très correct par personne.

Komfortables Hotel mit gutem und günstigem Frühstücksangebot. Relativ zentrale Lage, aber trotzdem ca. 10 min Fußweg zur nächsten U-Bahn-Station. Hotelzimmer sehr sauber und ruhig (ich hatte Innenhoflage und konnte bei offenem Fenster schlafen). Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen.
