Petit Palace Embassy is a fantastic 4star hotel with a laptop and free Internet connection in every room. This modern and innovative hotel is located in an olden XIXth century building which has been refurnished to become one of the smartest and chic hotels in the city. The hotel is located in the exclusive Barrio de Salamanca, in Serrano street in the heart financial, commercial and artistic of the city, surrounded by the most luxury shops and near of the main spots of the city such as Plaza de Colon, Paseo de la Castellana, Parque del Retiro, Museo del Prado and within walking distant of the city centre. Won't Stay There Again

Waited at check-in desk 10 minutes while the lone agent made a reservation with someone on the phone. The telephone/electric charger beeped and buzzed on and off all night...got little sleep. At check-in was told that restaurant opens at 7a.m., which would fit our airport departure time. Next morning we were told it would open later in the day. At check-out time we asked for a partial refund; girl at desk said she would send us an email later in day informing us of the amount. Never received an email. At check-in we asked directions to archelogical museum nearby. Were told to turn right. We were missinformed and should have turned left, thus we spent an hour roaming the streets in search of museum. Would never stay there again.

Pleasant stay

If you like getting away from the hectic and frenzied pace of city life and crowds, but like to have easy access to all the city offers with access to a Metro station less than 2 blocks away, and be in the middle of the top shopping district of Madrid, then this is an excellent choice. Rooms are contemporary and very comfortable. A laptop in each room with internet access was quite handy for me. Breakfast buffet is available. Many fine retails stores from all the big designer names and a dept store all nearby. I really enjoyed my stay. Muy excelente!

Very short walk to the Serrano Metro station made going to all the city attractions quite convenient.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

No need for a taxi or car. Metro rail is very easy to hop in and out.
