Major attractions such as the Royal Palace and the Prado art museum are within walking distance, however guests may use the free bike rental service at the hotel to get around town a more leisurely way. Unbeatable location for the price

Very convenient location with balcony looking out over a rather nice tree-lined plaza one block from Puerta del Sol. Easily accessible via metro to/from the airport and within walking distance of all major tourist attractions. We had one room with a balcony (good view, but louder)and one interior room (no view, but quieter) for the weekend. Rooms were clean and the A/C worked great. The in-room safe and computer with wifi were very handy. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Pluses and Minuses

The hotel is in a fantastic location, a few blocks from the center of the city and many pedestrian malls. It is a short walk to many sights, and the Metro is close with easy access to the city. The rooms are medium sized, clean and modern, have a super bathroom, large bed, and of course, the computer. My main question for the hotel was the room I was given. As a guest staying for four days, I was wondering why I was put in a room that had a window to a inner space with another building. The room was consequently always dark. Also, my computer's hard drive crashed one evening. One of the women at the front desk tried her best to fix it for me, as I could not read the Spanish wording that came up. I asked for another computer but was told that the manager had the only key for where the replacement ones were kept. They called her, as did the women the next day, but she would not come in to get me another one. Thus, I had to wait until late the next day before a technician came to fix the computer. The front desk was always wonderful and helpful, but I have to wonder about the manager's commitment to the guest's happiness. All in all, I still would highly suggest using this hotel and would stay there again should I return to Madrid.

Good Location / Good value

We arrived after check in time, but had to wait 45 min in the lobby for our room. After a 15-16 hr Trip this was very unpleasant. And there was no apology or amends made. The room was small but clean. The slanted ceiling made it had for my husband who is tall. But the top floor was more peaceful. The streets are noisy specially at night. The breakfast is not worth the price.
