This weekend away was a birthday treat for my wife. We found the room to be modern, clean, extremely well appointed if a little on the small side. The removal of an item or two of unnecessary furniture would go a long way to free up some space though. The bar and restaurant were of very high standards. The food was excellent and fairly priced. The cocktails at the bar were skillfully made using fine ingredients from scratch but a little on the pricey side. The staff at the front desk and lobby were courteous, friendly and very helpful at all times. The location of the hotel in old Madrid could not be better. Everything that is a tourist must see plus bars and restaurants are located within easy walking distance. Overall, the hotel is excellent, Madrid is excellent. You should go.

Great Location
This hotel is in a great location; walking distance from Plaza de Espana and all the different shops that the women like. Restaurants are also walking distance from the hotel.

Great hotel
Great hotel. Beautiful. Modern. We got a great price. Location is about 100 feet from a Metro stop which takes you straight downtown or about a 20-30 minute walk to all the downtown sites. Wonderful place. Highly recommend.

not really happy, staff doesn´t resolve
We thought breakfast was included, it wasn´t. Because we canceled two rooms 3 weeks in advance (we reserved 4) and they would not return our money, we asked in return that they give us breakfast, and they didn´t answer because the manager was never reached an three days after we never got the breakfast or the money. I would never go back to Melia Princesa Madrid

Unexpectedly Great
We weren't sure about this hotel going into it, and from the outside we were skeptical when we pulled up but inside it was gorgeous. Our room was big, high tech and very very clean. The staff was always super helpful, and it was right in the heart of Madrid, close to everything we wanted to do. We will definitely be staying there again.

Front desk very helpful: even tried to sell a Real Madird ticket I had in excess. I was allowed to stay until 3pm without surcharge.
