Convenient and confortable

It was my 4th time at this hotel, it is very good and well located in a calmer Madrid residential area surrounded by excellent restaurants at walking distance. Rooms are very large and service very friendly. Very good choice in Madrid at a good price.

nice hotel. Stayed for business.

nice hotel; great staff (probably the best part of the stay was that the entire staff was helpful and would [try to] speak English when my spanish was pitiful. Room was very comfortable. There was not a coffee maker in the room so everytime I wanted coffee, I had to purchase it either downstairs in the lobby (or hotel restaurant) or outside the hotel. The location was in the middle of the banking district so it was a walk to the bus or train before going to sight-see or purchasing coffee.

great hotel, great location

Excellent service, very nice accommodations and a very helpful concierge. The bathroom was impeccable and the location-the best. The only problem-the price of items in the hotel, from internet service to room service to items from their pharmacy was outrageous. However, there are many other options in walking distance.

around the corner is a local small supermarket where you can find sandwiches, fruit, drinks etc at a much more reasonable price. Even BK is in a short walking distance:)

When a good hotel has bad service

The hotel is ok, location is convenient to the metro. The area is quiet on the weekend because it is a business district. The room was not cleaned on Sunday - only the beds were made. They didn't even clear/replace dirty glasses. Hand towels were not replaced and they took the used ones. But my biggest problem was the electricity. I have traveled to several different countries and I take my laptop to be able to access the internet and communicate with family and work. This hotel was the first I've been to where they charge a 10 euro deposit for the "electrical converter". Nevertheless this "contraption" allowed my computer to "burn down". Front desk was not very helpful and nobody really seemed to care. I waited for the hotel tech support person that never came for 45 minutes while I wanted to go out and see the city. Bottom line, nobody could tell me if it was just the battery or the entire thing that burned and I went home w/a non-functioning laptop.
