Stay away form this hotel, do yourself a favor....

They did not honor the shuttle time service, and left me stranded at the airport on sunday night. The staff were completely rude and useless. They ask me to contact Orbitzz to settle the shuttle service issue, at a very untimely time..... No wonder the Europeans say Europe starts at the Pyrenees... This is the very best example of the third-world service you can find in Spain... Madrileños motherfuckers....

Great but Limited Shuttle and 10 Euro Wi-Fi

Very friendly employees at the front desk, great location with easy walk to Metro, modern, comfortable rooms. Airport shuttle was not running mid-day (only morning and evening and they ask that you arrange ahead of time), so I took the public bus -- very, very easy. Was surprised they were charging 10 Euros for 24 hours of wi-fi.

Good for an airport stay

Not a great location if you want to visit Madrid easily, but great for a quick trip to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything at this hotel was modern, and even the bedding smelled fresh and clean. Hotel dining prices are high and there are only a few places within walking distance (OK, but not a gourmet dining experience). We had some issues with the morning shuttle, but they were quickly resolved. Just make sure your shuttle reservation is made early and clearly notes the number of people you are traveling with.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Dine away from the hotel. Don't pay 14 euros for breakfast - two people can dine for half of that less than one block away, and places open at 7.

clean and comfy

We enjoyed Maydrit very much; it was modestly luxurious at a very decent price, and had a lovely cafe with outdoor patio. The pool was tiny, but nice. The kingsize bed was very comfortable and the staff fluent in English and helpful. Also, close access to subway allowed my wife a quick visit to the Prado, though we were only on a night stopover.

Loved the Proximity to the Airport

My friend and I stayed there they night before we flew out of Madrid Barajas Airport. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. It was beautiful, clean, and spacious. I would not recommend it for more than the night before or after a flight. It's not near anything, including anywhere to buy food. It's not scenic or close to the center of the city. It'll be a hassle to have to take the metro or a cab when it's such a walkable city. Also, you have to pay 10 euro for 24 hours of internet access... a little unreasonable when almost every hotel provides it for free.

Unless you have lots of time to kill or are prepared to spend a hefty sum on dinner at the hotel, eat before you get there. It's not walking distance from any food establishments that I noticed.

convevnience great, bright modern hotel

I was delighted with the helpful, professional desk clerks. The hotel is beautiful, fresh, bright. The room and bath are modern and sparkling. Breakfast was delightful I appreciated the van from and to the airport, with a courteous, helpful driver.

What an absolute delight!

Had an overnight stay because of it's proximity to the Metro and free shuttle to the airport, wish I could have stayed longer! The room was beautiful, spotless and very comfortable. Couldn't have had a more positive experience.

Front lobby staff was not the

Front lobby staff was not the friendliest but they were courtious. The room and rest of the hotel were incredibly nice. Their airport van doesn´t run pick-up or drop-offs all day (and you need to book it in advance) but it was easy to get from the airport to the hotel on bus 101 ... very short walk from the bus station to the hotel. Also, a two block walk from the hotel to the green metro line - half hour ride to the city center. Very quiet, safe area.
