Good enjoyable staff overall.

On arrival the staff were most helpful. We had a two-bed apartment on the first floor over looking Calle San Marcos. The bedrooms were towards the rear of the apartment so we didn't hear any street noise. Our apartment was a good size with plenty of wardrobes, toiletries, kitchen utensils etc. Some of the crockery was chipped but we just set it aside and there were two light bulbs out of action. I would say that there is a lack of mirrors in the apartment as the twin room didn't have a mirror - this was awkward for 4 girls getting ready. On the plus side - the beds were really comfortable and plenty of extra blankets/pillows in the wardrobe. And the shower was great. On day one we decided to turn on the radio while having breakfast. A female member of staff literally banged the door to tell us to turn it off. Why put them in the room if you can't use it...?? It was 9am, hardly the middle of the night. Location - it is in the Cheuca district and the location can appear a bit seedy but its really close to Gran Via and we certainly didn't feel uncomfortable. The San Anton market is literally a 3 minute walk away and right underneath it was a decent supermarket. Also, on the corner of Calles San Marco - just across the street from the supermarket - was a fantastic coffee & pastry shop. Try the fresh orange juice.

Fantastic modern apartments

Would recommend Wed, May 6, 2015
We were suprised to see all the amenities that were in the apartment. Very modern smart t.v., ipod speaker, all the facilities needed to cater for yourself, lovely powerful shower etc.... Very clean and well kept. Nice staff, very helpful and fun. The only downside was it was quite loud all through the night. Would definately recommend.

Last minute getaway

Great central location! We were surprised at how close we were to restaurants and attractions. The staff were very nice and gave us recommendations to bars and clubs that were walking distance as well as directing us to Santiago Bernabéu. The room was clean and came fully equipped with towels, hairdryer and an iron. We will definitely stay there again!

AWESOME GEM IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING!

Would recommend Fri, Jan 4, 2013
This place was perfect! We were in Madrid for 9 days, and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. We were close to everything, coffee houses, bars, metro, great restaurants, and really close to Puerta Del Sol, Plaza Mayor, The Prado. We were able to walk everywhere. Also, the apartment was spacious, and they have all the amenities you need, from hair dryers to a dual wash/dryer machine!!! The place was spotless, we even had nice wine glasses and a great towel warmer! :) Honestly, this is the best way to stay in Europe. You feel like you are home, there is a lot of space, and it was very comfortable. Oh, and the staff was wonderful! We arrived at 10am, way earlier than our check in time. They let us in our apartment right away, and Fernando was great about suggesting place to eat that were good and local. The only 2 suggestions I have is that they need an emergency contact list in case you lose your key, or get locked out somehow. And the other, this is not a child proof place. If you have kids, this is probably not for you. It is definitely geared towards adults. Otherwise, simply an awesome stay! My best one in Europe! :)

Dining

The is a great coffee house on the corner of Calle San Marcos (the hotel street) and Calle Hortaleza, reasonable in price really good coffee, and delicious gelato! But there are many good restaurants within 2-3 block walks. They are everywhere! The best tapas and drinks was at a place called La Vinoteca! Yum food all around, nice atmosphere, and nice variety of wines.:)
