A block from the Gran Via in Madrid and two minutes walk from Puerta del Sol, the Liabeny Hotel Madrid offers guests an ideal base from which to explore the Spanish capital. A great location in the centre
A great location in the centre of Madrid. This is clean hotel and one of the least friendly I stayed at in Spain. Not service oriented and will charge you excessively for things like internet. I might stay there again because of the location but definitely not because of the service or friendliness of the staff

small group of tourists
Took a small group of Americans there. Off season so the price was attractive but even if it had been more it would have been worth it. It is a solidly impressive hotel property and given the price and the location I would say one of the absolute best values in any major European capital.

Classy, quiet hotel in the heart of Madrid
I overnighted in transit and this hotel was perfect: 30 mins from the airport by Metro, then a very short walk. The single room was spacious, well appointed, comfortable and modern. Tucked away in a corner, it was quiet, even with the window open. I skipped breakfast so I can't comment on that but I would definitely stay here again!

The Place to Stay if Touring Madrid
Great loction at the center of Madrid. Sol metro gets you everywhere. Within walking distance of many neat places such as Plaza Mayor, Plaza Sol, Palacio Real and Tourist hop on hop off bus. Only negative where the small hard pillows

Cafe Alhambra is a good local tapas place amongst the more expensive tourist tapas places. Try the ropa de toro "braised bull's tail" quite tasty with papas at 8 euros

Everything was great here (breakfast, location, air conditioning, etc ) except they try to sell you on using the TV as computer for internet access which worked for an hour and when I asked about it there was just a lot of buck passing. As soon as my 24 hour "subscription" was up it worked again, a bit dodgy but otherwise a good place and staff and I would stay here again.

Very nice hotel; helpful reception & concierge staff. Large seating area with chairs, couches & a table for relaxing & chatting with friends outside the bar. Very nice breakfast buffet. Room was very nice & comfortable; I gave the average score due to the really hard mattress. Otherwise, it was a great stay. I'd definitely return & happy to recommend to others.

One night in Madrid
We had a 20 hour layover in Madrid on our way home from Morocco, and didn't want to spend that time in the airport or at an airport hotel. The Liabeny was in the heart of the city and an easy taxi ride from the airport. We checked in on a Saturday night and the front desk / concierge quickly oriented us to the area, so we found a nearby restaurant for dinner then spent a couple of hours walking the lively streets. The short time we had in Madrid confirmed our desire to see more of the city, and when we go back, we'll be staying at the Liabany.

Fine 4 star hotel
The location and amenities were great at this hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and first class. The staff was attentive, and I especially liked the spaciousness of the room.
