We got to the hotel at 12 noon. Even though check-in is at 3:00 p.m., we got into our room with no trouble whatsoever. The room was clean and quiet with a flat screen TV, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly and
accommodating; I could not have asked for friendlier or more helpful service. The hotel is not near the bustling city center, Puerto del Sol, but it doesn't matter - it's right by the Gregario Maranon Metro stop, so all of the sights are just a short subway ride away. Nice restaurants and cafes are just a short stroll away down the tree-lined paseo. There's also a pharmacy right by the hotel in case you need to pick up any toiletries you forgot to pack. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone vacationing in Madrid.

Short walk from hotel
If you want cheap eats, there's a Pans sandwich shop right next to a Haagen-Daaz ice cream parlor a few blocks away near the plaza with the giant Spanish flag.
